They're called ordersets. I worked for a company that sold subscriptions to them and had software for authoring your own. Subscriptions started at $1 million/year, three year minimum contract. Not out of the question for a large metro hospital, but may be out of reach for the budgets of a smaller county hospital... Last I heard, the company was tanking.
For example, at my first developer job out of college (Insurance company, 2000), the lead developer drove a truck for Frito-Lay and BS'ed his way into IT Dept. Of the 12 of us, I was one of two with a degree, and the only one with a Comp Sci related one.
Of course, they all produced the kind of code you'd expect from the guy driving the potato chip truck. When I left a year later, they were considering getting Source Safe instead of using zip files for source control...
I'll tell you why I care. Because the neighbor's dog is a freaking mutant, and eats things that *aren't food* and don't get digested. I've had to clean up everything from condoms to scraps of cloth and likely carpet fibers to a piece of metal that I suspect was an underwire from a bra.

Just because they're not collecting it doesn't mean that NY isn't still getting their cut from Newegg. I wonder if Newegg has enough of a markup to pay 8% (or whatever) out of pocket and still make a profit. If not, guess who's actually paying NY taxes? That's right. You are.
How about economics? Psychology? Current events? Foreign relations?
People don't know enough about anything to make an informed decision when it comes to the actual issues. Campaign managers know how to spin anything to make their guy look good and the other guy look bad. I consider myself a fairly smart guy and there have been times where I've accepted a candidate's not-quite-straightforward answer until someone calls them on the facts.
The Linux Standard Base, or LSB, is a joint project by several Linux distributions under the organizational structure of the Linux Foundation to standardize the internal structure of Linux-based operating systems. The LSB is based on the POSIX specification, the Single UNIX Specification, and several other open standards, but extends them in certain areas.

Red Bull has one too. Does that make them evil?
I'd have one if I had that kind of money too.
Same thing. Different pair of liars. Vote for the one you dislike the least.
Hey, you support it your way, I'll do it mine.
I'll show my support by downloading music all day.

Prius isn't advertised at 225 MPG.
Do public land records usually come complete with SSNs? (I genuinely don't know).
Why your people deem it necessary to use the language that they do I can never understand
We're a VB.Net shop. The language was forced upon us. We don't like it any more than you do. Sorry.

By the way, any way to Adblock in Chrome? Didn't realize /. had so many ads.
That wouldn't be in the best interest of the people, right?
Thank You.

Some days it's absolutely painful.

All that money, down the tubes.
$3.00? That's almost 1/2 hour's pay!
That's because by the time this comes out, $12 worth of Chinese components will cost $75.
