(I meant great-grandparent and grandparent, respectively). You know, the one who said the sweet spot is monopoly = up, the one who said he was stupid = down. Sorry.)
In a competitive market, increasing your price above a certain point will kill demand (unless you can differentiate your product but that's another issue).
In a monopoly, consumers have no choice (unless they want to abandon your product), so they'll demand the product even if they have to pay way more than it's worth (making it very inelastic).
Here's a quick experiment: You need a widget. There are dozens of competing companies trying to sell you a widget. Think they're going to try to keep their price low to keep competetive? Ok, now there's only one company who will sell you a widget. How much do you think they're going to charge? Good, now start modding that grandparent up and that parent down.
Well, this should qualify as some level of irony... or something akin to irony. But please, no debates on what irony is... I'm sure some site has it's meaning covered. Now I wonder what site that would be?
By counting Game Tab's list (I did it a primitive way; just counted the number of games that fit on a screen and counted the number of screens I had to scroll down), I got approx 388.
Of course, that doesnt mean that tekken is the best fighting game. That is SSBM:)
Good to see there are others that feel that way. Though I can't verify because I haven't played Power Stone and apparantly that is a lot like Smash Bros. and it came out earlier.
But yeah, SSBM doesn't rely on combos at all, and button mashing won't help you much. The only thing that can be said against it is "not enough moves", but it's still deep. I would call it a good fighter for people who don't like fighters.
This just in! Successful game with a cliffhanger ending gets a sequel designed to gain leverage against the competition! In other news, Walmart will continue selling items in their stores, in a knieving plot to gain revenue!
The problem with this plan is that 99% of console FPS fans already have the XBox/XBox2 as their consoles of choice. Halo 3 will let Microsoft keep their fan-base, but it's not going to do much to expand it, much less "crush the PS3"
And if I worked for IGN, I'm sure I'd make up some story about Halo 3 being released on the XBox2 as well. Why wouldn't I? It's a pretty sure thing. Then I guess I'd slap on a header like "Here are two rumours you haven't heard anywhere else" like I'm a revolutionary for guessing that Halo 3 will come out at about the same time as the PS3 launch.
So now they'll have to put up a page to say "The temp page that says that our site is down is down. We are working aorund the clock to get the temp page back up.".
There's one at an arcade in Toronto that I'm real close to. It lets you import custom vehicles, and the machine tilts when you turn... it's all right. It's no Bishi Bashi or DDR though.
They're in trouble whether people use Netflix or not. In 15 years at most, everyone will almost certainly be ordering movies using digital cable or satellite or such. A few people already do, and that number just has to increase in the next few years.
As for games, Sony was already talking about making it so you could only get PS3 games over their network. I think they backed down on that claim, but it's like to happen in the next 15 years.
The only question is what will happen to all that real estate that's being taken up by Blockbusters?
Apparantly you can make a dummy file that's read only? AntiSpyware will try to write to it, and since it can't, it gives up (or thinks it wrote to it).
More info on this on either the first post to this article or a child of that post... too lazy to provide a link. Sorry.
Yeah, my University loads up our computers with this program that lets you send print jobs to nearby printers in the University. Microsoft pegged that has some sort of adbar. Don't ask me how they arrived at that conclusion.
Still, I like MS/Giant's stuff. It might have false positives, but it also catches a lot more spyware, at least in my family's computer. My family loaded so many adbars, and did everything on IE. It was a disaster area before AntiSpyware came in.
This is the perfect compliment to go with the new article on The Best Page in the Universe.

Seconded.

(...Well back down to 1 anyway)
Aw, c'mon now, where's the love for ocRemix? :(
There has been such an offer.

When it doubt, use Wiki.
For me, chalk one up for the "lefties that use right-hand mice" side. I use my left hand for the laptop nipple though.
Well, there's some problems with that, as outlined here.
And don't forget Hit and Run... though nothing can compare to the old favourites like Virtual Bart.
Of course, on the flipside there was...
I'm the opposite, everything I say is a lie.
Yeah well, accept for that one miner mistake, the spelling was grate.

Game Tab might miss some games, I'm not sure.

In other words.
I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say he or she was referencing this.

(I hate IGN.)

Philly area to be exact.
;)
Don't get any more exact or you might not be working at BlockBuster for long

If GM ever gets into the house-construction business, count me out!

That's some inventive use of the bottom screen ;)
Well, seriously, that's a good start. Nice to see some homebrew stuff on the DS.
