Germany has been considering new speed limits since at least the 1970s but nothing ever happens.
If you've ever driven in Germany you'd know how the system works. The autobahans are full of police cars. You can overtake them at any speed, no problem, but try tailgating, using your phone, changing lanes without indicating... acting like an asshole/idiot in any way at all and they'll be down on you like a ton of bricks.
It's not the speed that kills you when you're on a nice straight road, it's the distracted soccer moms and self-centered idiots.
Possible but the xtra controllers will either take up more space which means the phone has to be bigger and costlier to manufacturer or the battery capacity is reduced to compensate.
Says who? A battery charge IC can be the size of a grain of rice these days.
PS: I don't actually know how big this thing is, you'd think they could have mentioned the size in such a long summary about something that stands out from the crowd due to its size, but nooooooo. Welcome to Slashdot.
I'm not religious, I'm just sick and tired of people blaming Christians for everything that is wrong with the world when they are clearly not.
They're responsible for an awful lot that's wrong in one of the few countries with enough resources to do something about the problems in the rest of the world.
Wasn't there a a thing in the book about camels and eyes of needles?
What about the part that tells you to sell all your Apple products, SUVS and plasma TVs and give the money to the poor? That doing so accumulates riches in the afterlife...?
Hello, I'm a lifelong libertarian voting republican in certain races since I first reached 18. In 2016, I voted AGAINST Hillary because I believe the democratic party, due to their demographics, will be the first to outlaw the most sacred amendment, Freedom of Speech. I still feel that way.
All that said. Trump and Co needed to go and yesterday. We need to purge the Party before Country folks in the Republican party before they ship the sink with them.
Fuck Pelosi. Fuck Trump. Fuck McConnell. Get the old rotten blood all out.
Yep. The problem isn't that Trump made POTUS, the problem is that the only opposition offered for voting was Hillary Clinton.
Most of the votes cast were really votes against one of the candidates.
In reality "None of the above" was the only sensible vote in the last elections.
Yes, Trump promised to "Drain the swamp" but it turned out to be a lie (surprise!!!)
Just because prior testing failed to confirm the effect, doesn't mean you have demonstrated there is no effect.
No, but we've proved that a lot of people that claim to be able to directly observe an effect are deluding themselves.
When that happens, the burden of proof shifts over to them, not us.
It usually turns out they don't even know the four steps of the basic scientific method, let alone how to set up a double-blind experiment.
Any measurable effect on the brain tells you any hypothesis that claims there is no way for people to directly perceive magnetic effects might be wrong.
Sure, but where would these magnetic fields come from? The magnetic fields from wires in the environment are far too weak to have any effect.
(just like cellphone radiation could warm up your brain if it was in the kilowatt range, but it isn't...)
I don't disagree with you, but "no evidence found" and "falsified hypothesis" are different things.
a) It's almost as if you don't know that falsifying a negative is logically impossible. b) There's the James Randi $1 million prize for anybody who can demonstrate a positive in a double-blind test. c) And several other prizes, too.
Electromagnetic hypersensitivity might not be complete nonsense then, magnetic fields changing at 50/60 hz might mess some people up.
a) They don't typically complain about 50Hz mains, and there's no way a mains wire is emitting a magnetic field strong enough to sense (unless they're wrapping it around their heads) b) They typically complain about cellphones, WiFi routers, etc. c) Going outdoors a long way from any electronics would make them very ill indeed because of the sun's rays and earth's magnetism. d) Please don't give them any more ideas for reasons to try to be ill until this is a 100% proven thing.
Do you know all the "health effects" of these things? Should we believe they're harmless because the same companies who lobbied for decades saying tobacco was harmless are telling us these things are harmless too?
I could have phrased that better: "The problem is that people expect it to be profitable even though no restrictions are placed on the types of materials that manufacturers are allowed to use to package things".
You don't need everything to be in a brightly colored plastic tray. Recycling starts with package design.
The only way to make this happen is to make the brightly colored plastic tray less profitable than a brown paper one.
If they've "settled" then they obviously made a lot more than 35 million.
I bet the people behind it still made money when they should really be stripped of assets and pilloried in a public place.

It's almost as if you don't think anything can ever be improved.
Battery size isn't mandatory.

Sorry, my everyday language isn't English and Glaciar is the correct spelling over here.

I takes more faith to believe in Climate Change theories than to believe in God.
So basically your beliefs are:
Glaciar shrink speeds up? Climate change is a lie.
Glaciar shrink slows down? Climate change is a lie.
Blah blah blah? Climate change is a lie.
The entire "political class" is unsuitable and cannot be trusted to run a country. Their own interests will always be first.
Who would you have chosen instead?
Adam Savage.
Exactly. They bought a product with non-replaceable batteries. Have they been living under a rock? What did they think would happen?
If only there was a way to power headphones using a cable instead of relying on batteries.
At least Jared and Ivanka are using an encrypted platform. Hillary, on the other hand...well, he likes to screw taxpayers without protection.
If there's a virus/backdoor on any receiving device then encryption won't make a difference.

Who needs a new identity? With 100 million in the bank you can just move to any number of nice countries and live awesomely for the rest of your life.
(so long as you manage the money and don't be an idiot).
Yes, that's why I use C++.
So the development cycle is now a three-step process?
Great.
By adding stronger typing to the language (hence the name "typescript") and better objects.
Strong typing good. Mmmmmkay?
JavaScript frameworks are being written in a language other than JavaScript?!
*head explodes*
Typescript is transformed into regular Javascript by a "compiler".
I'm sure he checked that statute before "admitting" it.

Fool you once, shame on them.
Fool you twice...?
