    a lot of people get overly zealous about the pentium m, it's good at what it does, and AMD do have competing mobile procesors which are equally as good if not better, bottom line is that the pentium m is a little over hyped...

    when i was showing my old man the wonders of the internet (a few years ago) i was demonstrating search engines and asked him to name something like one of his hobbies, he was into leatherworking at the time and responded with keywords like "Strap" "harness" and other things like that.... stupidly i clicked the i'm feeling lucky button.... sigh...

    microsoft take on any threat to their software in one (or a mixture of) ways:

    1. buy out the competition
    2. use dominance in another market to push your product in this one
    3. when that doesn't work simply tell people lies

    so far i haven't seen much of:

    4. improve your own product so that the customers like it more and pay for it

    microsoft thwart the market system, anti monopoly laws and consumer soverignty yet again....
