Great, I love your ignorance.
"Condi Rice for Sec. State, a woman who as National Security Advisor somehow managed to miss all the reports and test runs that proposed air-based attacks on the WTC and claimed that a presidential intelligence bulletin issued one month before Sept. 11 warning of al Qaeda's efforts to attack within the US was "nothing major"
That PDB did not point directly to New York or any specific place, and naturally people continued gathering intelligence even if she didn't order it. So technically it was nothing major because we had no idea it would happen exactly when and where, though we knew if anything would happen it would be bin Laden.
"This just in: DVDCCA purchases Samsung and Plextor. Samsung and Plextor DVD drives are going to be outfitted in such a way that they won't be able to read DVD's to prevent piracy, a DVDCCA spokesperson mentioned."
Even the academic superiority of Asians, Vietnamese and Chinese notably, living in the US couldn't help the US rank better. tsk tsk.
I'm not surprised, most of my friends don't care for math. Don't get me wrong, there's probably a large enough fraction of US 15 year olds that are mathematically competent, but they don't overdo it and make math their life.
Also, in the US kids don't have to work so hard to get a job because it's easier for them in a way, because there are no language barriers, they've learned the appropriate curriculum at the right US schools, etc. For people overseas who have to come over here to work, they must work EXTRA hard in school to learn the stuff they'll be using for the jobs we have or are competing for. There's another example of how kids take things for granted. US kids like us may not work extra hard because we have other things to do, and get by, but with other kids, they have to work hard and, in the process, do better than us to get the job or position we're vying for.
Free Lossless Audio Codec is what you people should be using. Lossless audio, free, and open-source.
However, I would convert some of my tracks to MP3 Surround if I had the time just for the heck of it.
Time to buy a Treo 650, request and get a free 128MB SD card, then sell or return the Treo 650 and in the end have a free 128MB SD card.:P
Actually I wouldn't do that, but it was a funny thought.
Exactly. With passwords, you can change them when someone figures it out, but with biometrics, you'd have to alter your own fingerprint to change the passcode used!
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear vacuum tube... happy b-day to you.
Vacuum tubes were a great achievement back then. The top of the line. Then transistors came along.
Wow, the ESA was capable of doing something!
Ok, really, I'm actually interested in this. Ion-propulsion rules and should be released/developed on for other technology.
Come on, it's just their own secure internet, it's not like it's going to be sentient and going to take over the world.... I don't notice any innuendos... yet...
Well AOL always has sucked IMHO, even its stock. The only thing good about it was the "You got mail" and AIM. Yet taking away one of their own services?!? They got to be nuts... they probably are already losing money, and that made it worse.

I agree.

Insightful. Good job. *I* would if I had broadband... anyone give me 6 bucks a month and I'll get it...
I agree. However, I run Win98 on my old computer and it was pretty stable.

I'll have to say MSOffice Professional 2003 is the way to go...

No, it'd be like: Caller: "Hello, this is the RIAA! Stop that song download now, or we'll send the FBI after you!"
Sounds about right, alistair.

I can't wait until GIMP 2.2 come out, much like phpBB 2.2. What a coincidence with the version numbers...
Wow, the MPAA has reached a new low. Now BOTH the RIAA and MPAA suck!
Exactly. Well said.

Both Novell and MS suck at one point or another.

Wow. I never knew Marvel could be that bad.
