    Bringing back some Mars rocks would be nice in my lifetime. Even in unmanned missions. Beginning of asteroid mining too.
    These are completely realistic goals.

    Lack of critical thinking and lack of information are two different things. I'm not a in favor of Republicans and I'm not in the position to vote any of them. I do read a lot of things, and yeah, i didn't read enough about Obama. Or read the wrong things. We are not too different, though :)

    So, i assume both sides would vote on the same. Does this also represent what the voters want? Or does this represent a narrow band of the ruling elite.

    You are an ignorant dimwit. In the USA there is no state-sponsored sharia law (we don't even have a modern word for this kind of barbaric activity, the most close was the Inquisition). The US president himself is a moderate muslim. Iran and many of the islamic countries are back in time by 500 years, or more. This wouldn't be a problem, but technology has advanced. Nuclear weapon in a theocracy equals total extinction.
    They wouldn't have any qualms or second thoughts about using it first.

  16. Living forever will never be possible. But living for 1000 years might be. Mining asteroids is much easier than living for 1000 years. I would be surprised if in 50 years, there won't be at least 5 extraterrestrial mining companies.

  17. What will determine if the break of privacy is authorized? Is it automated? Then it is a plain backdoor, there is nothing lawful in it. Machines don't know law. Is it a human who decides? No way they can process the amount of requests, they will automate this like Google does for DMCA take-downs.

  25. I'm not a practicioner, but i believe, any plastic that withstands boiling water should be allowed. Pastafarianism is a young faith, it wasn't corrupted by money, yet. So cheap replicas and pompous, but impractical accessories didn't took over practical tools.
