But they are a communist nation. That makes up for it.
But in all seriousness, that is one good reason to. People have lots of theories about what brought down the Soviet Union. In my opinion, most evidence points towards capitalism doing it.
I'm not sure if that is directed at me or not, but I'd like to point out that I was trying to make fun of the "addiction" claim. Also, the title originally submitted was less definite but changed by Taco.
I think someone missed the point. I acknowledge my comment was off-topic. That said, it is by definition impossible for the very first comment to be redundant.
The incident seemed alarming enough: a breach of a Cisco Systems network in which an intruder seized programming instructions for many of the computers that control the flow of the Internet.
Surely you and others aren't as naive as to think that news doesn't involve opinion. There are two kinds of journalists out there: those with bias and those who lie about it.
I for one am glad that SlashDot usually avoids opinion pieces. I think that every time I see a 2000-comment post involving the President or another member of the administration.
Longhorn Beta is Disappointing
I, for one, am shocked. Shocked not only that Microsoft failed to deliver ont this beta but that such blatant anti-M$ rhetoric made its way onto SlashDot.
Okay, just kidding.
But in all seriousness, this shouldn't be a surprise. A version of Windows is generally not out of beta testing until SP2 for all practical purposes.

So you're saying they are communists?

Why should Google be different than any other topic?

And yet you managed to post this within a minute of the article being published.

Why is the first post modded as redundant?

If you are going to lift your entire submission from a story, you could at least identify it as a quote.
So you are saying I'd buy less beer, porn, and smokes if I shop online?
True, but 19 hours is a bit of a surprise.
I am well aware of that. That's why I said limits and not ban.
I used it as a play on words. You know, pantheon, mythical beast, ...
SlashDot supports open source, but they don't let me submit articles in PHP. You don't see me crying about it.

Has he read the ones here?

You shouldn't have closed your forums, bird603568.
"We still want to do another episode of thebroken."
Well it's redundant now. I hope you are satisfied. You'll never get my insightful "good point" comments again if this keeps up.
Sheesh, guys. I didn't mean to get modded up. I won't let it happen again.
That's kind of like preferring to be raped over being murdered.
Good point.
Not in economics.
