Yup, and it is smart pricing. The other boxes won't be out as soon, and people buying these systems this early will be buying the games just as quickly. It'll fall, but I think it is a smart way to squeeze out some extra cash. Besides, it gives them more room to drop prices when competition increases and/or the Christmas rush ends.
I loved those games, but eventually, they got boring. KQ3 and KQ4 were great, but 5 was too cartoony for me. I think they tried to turn it into a "storybook", and it wasn't fun.
This reminds me of churches coming out against the movie Dogma -- no one had seen it and it wasn't due out for months, but someone got a rough, rough copy of the script, and decided that the movie was blasphemous.
It is called "experiential advertising." Most car commercials are of this type. OTOH, I hate most car commercials, and would rather see something clever w/o being obtuse.
This is a useless article. You really need to know if this surprised the market; maybe Nintendo -- and the market -- were expecting the drop in profits for the quarter. If I knew where to get a Nintendo stock quote from the Nikkei...
I assume you mean how you have the screen looking one way, but it will print shifted to another way? I was going somewhere last night and had to print two pages to cover what looked like one on my monitor (and because the printing shifts).
I can't believe you all can still remember these details. Maybe I purposely forgot everything that I could about the experience. I do remember getting to level 5, I think.
Best trick I had was really a cheat. Before you warped to the next level, you could drop anything you wanted through the wrap hole. So, I would take every tree, villager, rock, or resource that I could find and send it through. Boring, but gave a real advantage.
I'm a talk radiophile, and I've heard about this happening forever. Back in the day, according to one DJ, you could get one of two things for promoting a hit record -- coke or a gold record.
This gamespot article has the details. PC version in Q1 2006, everything else coming later:
EA also said "a next-generation console version" of The Godfather "will appear later," meaning after March 31, 2006. So far, only an Xbox 360 version of the game has been announced.
Except for the continuation of the species part of it.
No, even that is bad in China -- one child per family!
It has nothing to do with the drink -- it is basically your normal cheese pizza.

Yes, that's what the genre is -- adventure games.

Yeah. Cause we all know that most twelve-year-olds have credit cards.
It was easy enough for Santos L. Halper...
Eh, I'd rather see people beating the shit outta ho's in a game instead of real life...

I knew someone that played until WoW came out... I can't believe that they have a patch this far out? And that there were major bugs still to fix?
Is it me, or is this the 3rd 10th planet people have found? I could've sworn it was named "Vega"...

Ah, found the quote here. And the stock is only down 1.7% -- not too bad. The sky isn't falling for Nintendo.

I guess they mean Solitaire and Minesweeper, because they just got into real gaming in the last few years (Age of Empires I believe was their first).

You are right, and it was recently, as in the past few months. And people were complaining then about it being a dupe.
From what I remember, and have read, the sequel to Syndicate was very disappointing. Very mixed rankings here...

I remember hearing about a new Syndicate coming out -- anyone heard/read anything on that?
The list goes on.'
Exactly -- the list went on and on for the mistakes in B&W, which is exactly why I won't go anywhere near this game. That game was just awful.
Well, according to her, "It Take a Village"...
Why don't we have a standardized technology that will allow 10000 stations in every area?
Why didn't I think of that? I'll go invent that technology right now!
Besides, no local market has enough advertising dollars to support anything close to 10,000 stations.
or something else outside their 'target market'...
Why would they purposely play something not aimed at their target market?

It was supposed to be EA's game based on The Godfather, but that's not coming out until Q1 2006 now...
