Every country is mentioning its own citizens. I read elmundo.es, and it is about Spanish survivors. BBC -- guess what -- British. They're doing something to attract readership -- making it relevant to their readers.
In fact, when getting my MP3 player, I made sure that it wasn't an IPod. Since, they're the brand name, you're going to pay more for that when you could get more features. Also, I'm not a 14-year-old, so I couldn't care less what people think about its looks.
It seems to me that EA was well aware of what the competition was doing. Instead of dropping the price immediately, they went to their (annual) buy-2 -get-1 free offer. They simply offered consumers a different "deal."
The interesting part is that this is the first year that they didn't offer the deal for the PC -- where ESPN's game was not offered.
This would really mess up that digital sundial that we read about a few weeks ago...and what about the LEGO grandfather clock? He'd have to rebuild it. No, this new system just won't work.
When I stereotype about how Americans love bad beer, I'm surely talking about the swill from Budweiser et al, and not the quality stuff that you can get almost anywhere, except a dive bar.
Nah, brew in the morning, bring that to work, go out for Starbucks coffee around 10, then switch to water for lunch/afternoon...so, two cups a day. But if I were drinking as much as I did in grad school, I would bring my own coffee maker, too.
I heard a report on the radio today that France was donating $135,000. The band Linkin Park had pledged $100,000.
The animals don't need an ark to survive, apparently...

The Earth revolves around you? Wow, don't you have a giant ego!!!
Why? Because Hawaii was hit with a tsumani years ago, and we installed a warning system.
Why? How about 100,000+++ reasons???
Days since disaster hit: 3
Days since Iraq war began: 653
Don't let those facts get in the way, either.
Is Happy Fun-Ball on the list?
You can't compare them without comparing the prices. You need to use the prices so that you can judge the relative value.

"I beg your pardon?" (Summerall's favorite quote for when he couldn't figure out what the hell was going on)

Simply put, it is difficult to translate the game basketball to a video game. It just doesn't work as well.
Does the virus use the same mistranslations into English?
I feel asleep!
Actually, the WPost was only .25 for the longest time, and was just bumped up to .35 in the recent past.

Nescafe means "no es cafe"...
Since when did people start drinking coffee for the taste?
Or beer, for that matter...Americans have some questionable tastes, that's for sure. Nothing like a beer brewed with rice!
That's been done.
Great for camping...
Gas station coffee might be worse than office coffee...
Actually, the only reason that I waste my money on $2 coffee (yeah, black, no frills) is that the office coffee here is undrinkable. Horrid stuff.
Plenty! Think of all of the times that people have had their computers taken over by hackers due to the lack of security from MS products...
Delta was $2 last month...
They are all people who have never been in my kitchen.
