I have a 128k no-download-limit DSL from Airtel which is costing me Rs.1000 per month (around...ummm $22?). With BSNL broadband coming out this month...prices may become cheaper...but Rs.100 p.m for 2 Mbps is highly unlikely to say the least.
* " If you have to use a supermarket shopping card, be sure to exchange it with your friends or with strangers. "
Why not? If nothing else, you'll help your friends/strangers save money and preserve their own personal data, and you'll boost your points rating.
Here we get coupons with our name on it and it is non-transferable. Although, if you have followed the steps mentioned in the article you wouldn't get the coupon in the first place but that's a different story. Also, if its transferable, how would it be an invasion of privacy as it would have no personal data associated with it anyway?
Well, maybe you'll think about it next time you go buy a bottle of scotch at your local convenience store late at night, and the FBI come banging at your door a week later when it turns out that convenience store was held by Ali Bin Terror and they're arresting and detaining everybody who has been in contact with him, "just in case".
Ok so I go to the convenience store late at night to buy a bottle of scotch with a wad of cash and get mugged. Of course, I can call the credit card company and cancel the card immediately...oh no wait, i cannot.
" Don't return product warranty cards." Maybe that will void your warranty?

I downloaded the Opera 8 Beta and tried to access Gmail... it still shows the same old text
" Gmail does not currently support your browser.

or sign in anyway. "
After clicking "Sign In Anyway" I was able to access my account, and everything seemed to be working OK...the keyboard shortcuts, etc. However it was much slower than IE or Fx.
I haven't had any crashing problems but i did notice that the initial load up times are more than IE.
Also it has some slight problems with its inbuilt download agent...a click to download doesn't seem to do anything, but clicking again starts downloading multiple copies of the same file.

Some of these are pure common sense...others seem to border on paranoia...
Well, do this. Enter "google" into Fx and hit Enter. Behold, a Google search result with McDonald's homepage at #1 !!
