    Use the TaskSwitch Windows Powertoy. It shows a small preview of the window being Alt+Tab'd to so that you don't accidentally flip to your other slashdot window. Or something else.

    Changing the system clock only changes the counter on the main page...it is done in javascript using a function of the system time.

    Whereas the disk space is actually increasing gradually, independent of the display, but matching very closely (only by 2 or 3 MB)

    From what I tried, even if I add multiple sections say World News (US) and World News (UK), the stories do not repeat.

    For instance, check this and also this.

    It appears that, only the first instance a story occurs, is displayed. No Repeats!

    Looks promising...I will give it a shot.

    If this works well I will probably have a tough choice to make between Opera and Fx. (That Firefox is free might tip the scales in its favo(u)r though.)

    According to the GoogleBlog the Google Image index was updated on Feb 7th to 1.18763 Billion images...

    It even mentions about Image results being shown in a regular google search, as was mentioned in a previous slashdot article.

    Perheps you are referring to something like the Nokia 3650...It has the buttons in a rotary fashion...

    Or were you referring to the handset of a rotary dial phone? In which case it would be too impractical to carry around anyway.
