Haven't played FF XIV, but the issue plaguing XIII was the insistence of the developers on having a beautifully-rendered world full of gorgeous eye candy.
Turns out you don't have enough space on a standard PS3 DVD to make a beautifully-rendered world full of gorgeous eye candy that is as open and expansive as FF players have come to expect. Result: one of the most boring, linear games I've ever played. In fact FF XIII is more like watching a several-days-long film than playing an interactive game.
No, actually you just invite them. No one has to join any groups you ask them to join. I have no idea what the issue is: if you don't want people thinking you molest boys then don't join NAMBLA for fuck's sake.
Even if the 10,000 number is valid, sending 10,000 e-mails a day works out to about seven per minute.
I know Europe is having some economic issues right now, but I'd be pretty surprised if the French government couldn't find in their resources the ability to set up the infrastructure to send one e-mail every 8 or 9 seconds.
I never said the guy making $200,000 didn't deserve to be rich. In fact if you'll look more closely you'll find I neither argued for nor against this new tax. I was merely pointing out that he *is* rich, deserving or no, and probably has very little idea what that word means.
If you live in the metro, own a home, and your wife stays at home with the kids - making $200,000 hardly qualifies you as "rich".
Living in the metro, owning a home, and having your wife stay home with the kids are all luxuries. The fact that you have them is evidence that you are rich, not the other way around.
I imagine it'd cost more to make the circuit on a CPU different for every single CPU coming off the line, as opposed to now where each chip (of a given model) is identical.
Actually, "Principia Mathematica" was the title of Newton's magnum opus, long before Russell and Whitehead. That seems to be what the title is referencing.
I don't know about Australia, but here most people pay a flat rate for phone service. They don't pay per call. So what incentive would telecoms have to give kickbacks to alarm companies?
Correct me if in fact in Australia customers pay per phone call or per minute.
Come on, 9 is still fun :)

You are overly optimistic if you think Aunt Marge and Uncle Joe will have ever even seen or heard of "the little black box with the white letters" :)
Looks like you're right -- I apologize for my ignorance.

I actually remember the frog story... I wonder how many digits my UID would be had I registered back then.
This is where the conversation devolves into spelling/grammar Nazism when I note that it's actually "bear".
Neither am I, believe it or not. U.S. American, born and raised, with U.S. American parents, grandparents, and 7 out of 8 great grandparents :)
(Not that there's anything wrong with Koreans :))
You are NOTHING lol.
Damn! We're planning to get married after we graduate... I hope that doesn't prove to be a mistake! :P

Or you could just solve the problem by being with someone who doesn't mind you looking at porn. *hugs my girlfriend*

I feel your pain, buddy! I still haven't quite given up hope for Freespace 3.

If you're using your Linux server to browse Flash apps on the web, you might be doing it wrong...
Classy.

However, the guy makes it abundantly clear on his website that he is an incorrigible crank:

LaTeX is your friend.
Yeah, and weed is illegal in the Netherlands. What's true de jure but not de facto is completely irrelevant in both cases.

Dude, do you have any idea what a "proof" is?
"not assume" and "assume not" mean different things.
My kingdom for a mod point...
