Interesting, I thought you had meant "País" (which means country), and I was going to post that as a reply as explanation to the guy who asked you that question:)
I agree, but in this case this is a Ask Slashdot, so it's normal that a question will be presented. By the way, the question wasn't added by the editors (same reason).
as i explained i have a health paranoia, not from the government but from corporations (spamming, calling, and mailing me)
Well, you never know - some "nice" government employee may decide to start selling your information to those companies. The possibilities are endless...
What I want to know is, if we build two of these robots, position them facing each other, and instruct one of them to mirror the other one (i.e. lift your left leg when his right leg is lifted), can the first one recognize someone is mirroring it?
Maybe you could RTFA instead of striving for First Post;)
No I didn't. Apparently you missed MY point. The second sentence says exactly the same as the first one, it's just a particular case. Another way of writing the text would be:
You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This is also true if you're writing a biographical article, in which case you would be writing an autobiography
This is just a more verbose way of saying it, but it's exactly what they mean with the sentence... And that's exactly why the wikipedia article is called "Autobiographies"
Is english your first language? It isn't mine, and I can still understand what they mean with these two sentences:
You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This particularly applies to autobiographies (...)
The first sentence is the general case. The second one is a more particular case of writing about subjects in which you are personally involved, in this case the subject being "your own life". Got it?
What about, the questions you have in your mind? How does the company work? What tools does the company use? Am I free to bring my pet rattlesnake into the office?
In short - everything you might think that would have an impact on you liking or disliking the job...
The next month I'll probably have interviews for my graduation's internship, and that's what I'm planning to ask if I have an opportunity and there are questions like this on my mind. And no, I don't have a pet snake...
I also agree that emotion is too complex to be reduced to a facial expression. Especially since I know that heavy self control can inhibit other people from ever recognizing what you're thinking or feeling ALL DAY LONG... Which really shouldn't come as a surprise. So why is this a controversial subject?
Well, that means nothing. I guess this is one of those fields where when progress happens, it will be quick... Neurons are just machines, we will get there...

Look it up on Google
Maybe, but maybe you didn't understand the article too... (judging from your post)
I know.
it's = it is
Man and women can often be babies without needing each other...

(That was sarcasm, in case someone out there didn't figure that out)
Why do I only see remarks like this on Slashdot?
That's what he meant with 8 bits of resolution. 2 raised to the power of 8 is 256 ;)

Read this post :) Anyway, I understand your point.

I would start here instead... Read the part about Lucas-Lehmer testing...

What about the other 1 percent?

This should have been modded funny...
1. You can't know it's code.
It most surely IS code...
So... So far we have a company which didn't test its console as well as it should have and now game developers who didn't test their games on normal TVs... Nice!
Mod parent up, and reply accordingly to posts on this article...
Is it really worth it?
Apparently google wasn't good enough to make you know what regular expressions really are...
