What matters is that this is a smaller LCD than most so it has less pixels. Sony is insisting that it is normal for their LCDs to have as many dead pixels as a full sized LCD.
It would be interesting to see on average what the percentage is compared to other LCDs.
How in the hell can you relate a serial killer to fast food? I will not have any sympathy for someone who makes a choice to put food in their mouths they know will kill them eventually.
You go to their place of business and order food that unless you are a complete dumb ass you know what you are getting. Stop trying to make excuses for the people who think if they drink diet soda they won't get fat.
Is bloat really a problem with too many features or more to do with bad coding?
How long is it before someone has so many plugins installed they are back to square one for bloat? Any operating system runs well when you first start it up. Users run into bloat problems after they have installed weatherbug, messenger programs and all the other crap they must have.
It wouldn't generate more heat... but parent and grandparent are both mistaken.
The heat is there no matter what you do. You can only dispate it. So if you use a giant heat sink like grandparent suggests or fans you get the same result. The room around the computer will heat up.
Thats what I was thinking. Why shut it down when you could give it to someone else? I'm sure there is another country, company, or group who would be willing to take control of these space craft and gather data if NASA is now bored with the operation.
And that is why you go for the Masters in CS or Project/Systems/Process Engineering. You can still get the management position, but it is much more rare.
The more news I see about feature of Longhorn it makes me wonder if M$ is pushing more towards the subscription model of their OS. Having users upgrade XP to Longhorn rather then sell Long Horn straight out. Start watching ELUA of these "upgrades" you might find yourself stuck in a subscription service called "Longhorn"
Google and Yahoo! are two different companies. Google is taking a large portion of its revenues and reinvesting it. They have a large sum of money that goes into R&D.
It costs the time to wait in line, fill out the form, give marketing info to Yahoo!, print off the form.
There is many costs, just not monetary. If the cost of getting the ice cream exceeds the value a person precieves from the ice cream then they will not bother.
The value "Free Beer" brings to me is pretty high so I would be willing to do quiet a bit before the difference between costs and benefits becomes marginal.
HP don't actually manufacturer optical drives though. They are all rebrands.
LITEON I've had three of these drives and they just go and go. Just stay away from the hacked firmware and you'll be happy
An informed subscriber posting AC? Huh.
The first step to real life Halo
I swear I saw this whole thing on tv before. Which obviously makes it true.
Shouldn't you make it the other way around?
That way you will listen to your boss and hang up on the telemarketers.
Joke Go to and you'll get the mp3 with out a number.

Unfortantly I'm at work and can't hear what the mp3 is.
But by not selling the food you are penalizing anyone who is intellegent enough to know not eat the fatty food all the time.

Does that include recompiling the Gentoo kernel for the 50th time?

They keep that kind of business in the "family"

Do you hear much about Yahoo!'s R&D?
Grayscale? It doesn't say you have to print it in color.
