This is true. Most people work like its an iron man competition. You need to feel out your employer. You also have to able to honestly assess yourself and your abilities. Some reward effort, most just take it for granted. Best bet is to trial it, work harder for a set time to make yourself stand out, try to discuss with your superiors. If you don't get the answer you want, then move on or find a Plan B first and then renegotiate. If they don't value you enough, move on to plan B. The only time to discuss salary is during the hiring process or negotiation if you threaten to leave. You'll see most employers see salaries, just like any other problem. They won't give it any attention until its in their face/blows up. The longer they can get away with not paying you properly, the more money they are keeping to themselves.
You're arguing suspension of disbelief... about a super-hero?! So if they made her look ripped like Batman's suit with the builtin six pack, you'd be ok?
"The SJW culture is trying to tell us that men and women are equal..."
Never mind, I see your problem.
Personally, I didnt care about the female-only cast and just figured it wasn't targeted to me. I rented it for my daughters (then 11 & 13) and we (my wife too) watched it on a Saturday night. Let me tell you, you know its a bad sign when your kids ask YOU if its "bed time, yet" on a Saturday night. We all were bored and turned it off about 2/3rds through it. The dialogue was so bad and the jokes just fell flat. It was like watching an episode of Gilmore Girls (my daughters got into this show for a bit) where you realize after hearing the banter that no one in real life actually talks like this and ultimately its just off-putting.
This is going to be a cheaper SKU of the Switch as an alternative, like the 2DS was to the 3DS. It's not a replacement. It's all about getting the market they lost when they abandoned the DS/3DS price group.
Yep. There's a big hole for people in that price range right now, that the 2DS/3DS used to fill. That's exactly what this is all about and they'll still have just one product to design all of their games for.
I guess you haven't been paying attention to the releases on the 3DS. It's been near dead since the Switch released. As far as a canard about exiting the console market, he meant the traditional console market which Nintendo has created 3 devices that have done that, Wii, Wii U, Switch. They aren't even trying to compete with Sony and MS directly and rightly so. Nintendo has complained that developing for two systems (Wii U and 3DS) was slowing their releases to a crawl and mentioned creating a parity with just one device which was smart.
The whole purpose of the Switch Lite is to create a cheaper SKU to pick up the DS./3DS users, like my kids since dropping support has created a hole. They want to get the multiples console per a household sales back. With the new Animal Crossing and Pokemon released this year, they could pull it off easily.
The Switch was their way of having just a single product line going forward. They made plenty of complaints that breaking into HD graphics (Sony and MS did that in the PS3/XB360 gen) for the Wii U while also developing for the 3DS was why the software releases were so slow for both device lines. They ceded out of trying to compete directly with Sony/MS with the Wii after lackluster pickup of the Gamecube. Wii U was their worst selling console ever. It just makes sense considering their target audience is families, not hardcore gaming.
This is all about multiple Switches per household sales. They lost that when they discontinued the DS/3DS. They also created a hole in that pricing market so this is the perfect reason to make a cheaper model, especially with a new Animal Crossing and Pokemon this year.
"Look... me and the McDonald's people got this little misunderstanding. See, they're McDonald's... I'm McDowell's. They got the Golden Arches, mine is the Golden Arcs. They got the Big Mac, I got the Big Mick. We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. My buns have no seeds."
You're funny if you think Trump is working for middle America and not his rich buddies. Who do you think goes to Trump hotels, golf courses and country clubs? He's made tons of money servicing the rich. Why do do you think that would change when he became President? Because when it really comes down to it, it's the "haves" vs. the "have-nots" in this world.
You see a man who promised to "drain the swamp" of corrupt politicians. I see a man taking out those corrupt politicians and replacing them with members of the business community that those corrupt politicians were working for. He's basically just cutting out the middleman.
New providers?! You've certainly haven't paid attention to all of those laws that ISP lobbyists have been working for in local government to stifle any new competition. They've done their best to block newcomers and have sliced up the pie enough to stay out of each others way. Now instead of growth, they just increase their current prices. This has been their plan for the past few decades.
If you think more of the same will change things then you really need to educate yourself.
I worked with a school's IT as a consultant. The biggest issue is price for one (comparing Chromebooks and iPads) but another big issue is control. Apple for years never bothered with an MDM solution and schools needed to use expensive thriparty solutions. They've just this past year finally put out their own solution but its probably too late. Google with Chromebooks and G Suite/MDM are just a better solution. Google went after that market aggressively and it paid off.
Moral compass needs tuning?! His actions, demeanor and attitude are exactly the same that he's shown all throughout his life. knee-jerk reactions, pettiness, narcissim, disrespectful: these are all terms that can be used throughout his whole public-facing life. I think you did indeed drink the kool-aid a while ago if you actually expected any different. This bilionaire who was envious to be a celebrity has spent over twenty years getting his face on TV or in the news in some shape or form.
Microsoft's XBox division and OS division are cannibalizing each other as I see it. And since Windows is paramount to Microsoft's overall sustainability, OS will always get the focus. They can try to sell both together as a strength but really, they are both competing for a gamer's attention. You can only play games on one at a time (for a single gamer obviously, I'm not including a family in this example).
There's no defining reason to own an XBox if you are also an avid PC gamer. Cross-play makes it even more noticeable. In fact, if you compare all of the gaming outlets (PC, PS4, XBOne, Nintendo), XBOne is the weakest out of all of them based on strengths. PC has everything and if you are willing to pay for high grade hardware, the sky is the limit. Sony has a variety of exclusives and majority support, Nintendo has the greatest (in number and in quality for some titles) exclusives but not much else. XBOne is kinda... there. Even its exclusives are mostly in a single genre, primarily FPSes. If you go with a primary/secondary console to give yourself the a bigger overall selection to choose from, pairing any with the XBOne is not a great option for diversity.
As a longtime DS/3DS fan, I wouldn't mind the this next iteration using one screen and they are due for a successor. The 3DS is about 6 years old & DS 12 years.
Um, yeah, considering the rumored price is $250-300 ish. That's less than the PS4 at its launch. You missed the part where I said this is a portable first system. You're looking at this like a standard console but portable is deifferent. In fact, portable is the only place Nintendo still rules uncontested, which is why this is portable focused.

I felt the same way. I've been coming here for over a 12+ years and it sure seems that right wing opinions have crept up in the past several years.
This is going to be a cheaper SKU of the Switch as an alternative, like the 2DS was to the 3DS. It's not a replacement. It's all about getting the market they lost when they abandoned the DS/3DS price group.
98% of the games support handheld play. There's only the few that you listed that explicitly don't.
Yep. There's a big hole for people in that price range right now, that the 2DS/3DS used to fill. That's exactly what this is all about and they'll still have just one product to design all of their games for.

I wonder if you would have said this during Obama's service?
And really that means, no personal investigation "at this moment".

I think its so they can refocus more production into the Switch as its selling very well.

Maybe if they worked on the problem thats causing the tons of FOIA request, it would be a better solution?!

Google for Education is free. You get what you pay for.
In other news: people who have extra spending money, use it on non-essentials, while those people without extra money skip buying non-essentials.
Huge Nintendo fan here and I think its a little too pricey. To me personally, it's a $5 ($6 tops) app at best.
