"Red supergiants are massive stars nearing the ends of their lifetimes. They are comparatively cool, luminous and very large."
So when they use up their fuel, won't its own gravity cause it to collapse creating a black hole?!
The robots will no doubt have the dexterity of Zidane and the speed of Ronaldo but what concerns me is whether they would have enough intelligence! Usually in a game of computer chess, the chess engine matches the best move against the move by the user. The moves are ofcourse pre-programmed during development or if the move fails the engine records the better move by the user. If this is how the robots are programmed, then don't you think each one of them will execute the same command under a certain condition, and it won't be much of a football match, would it?!
That's fascinating but we know that there are different stages of sleep like REM (Rapid Eye movement), etc. So I presume that these different stages have different effects on the body's metabolism leading to obesity or not. However, we are tuned to our habits too and that could be a factor to our cycle of sleep too. So don't you think the result of the experiment is a bit confusing?!
Recently I was updating my Windows XP installation via windowsupdate.microsoft.com and found a rather surprising message that one should update his computer as soon as possible as support for Windows XP is coming to an end. What's next?!
Get real, if there were, the people have got to be seriously retarded not to flee their homes in the wake of such a call. Go and watch NDTV 24x7 and then blab.
DNA computers can be further enriched with DNA chips which would hold information equivalent to a theatre full of harddisks in a cabinet used today. Just think of the possibilities it could open.
A bit offtopic but I would like to ask this question to fellow/. readers anyway. Technology no doubt has helped in the relief efforts but had technology really helped in preventing parts of the disaster. For instance, more lives could have been saved if the people in the coastal villages would have heard the warning issued by the government. Unfortnately, these poor people didn't have the money to buy a radio or TV. So isn't it economical reforms that should come first?!
Its easy. Buy a dust cover for your computer to protect it from dust and install a room heater to protect it from cold. If it gets too hot, install a small fan behind the CPU. As simple as that.
I guess its just because they can be manipulated and wrong information submitted to gain popularity for the rivals. Since these topics are very controversial and effects world affairs, they are better locked off.
Why does the surviellence cameras connect their feeds to the Internet? They can easily keep it within their LAN and forget the worry about other people seeing it. Also why can't they password protect the site so that only authorised personnel can see it?
I don't think there is much to be scared about. The link just activates a javascript function by the name start. I took a sneak peak in the code and found this:
`function start()
{
locate.HHClick();
setTimeout("locator.HHClick()",300);
}`
Nothing scary, is it?!

If they do that, they won't be able to cash in on these new softwares. Just wait till it gets out of Beta and you will see what MS marketing is.

In other news, Microsoft's products has been declared mega crap.

my question is how on earth did he manage to salvage the code from an executable?

That's a good idea only that they won't do it.
Probably because it got passed through the editors of /.
Is this a follow up of the blood made of nano-tubes thing that came out a few months ago?!
That site looks aweful in Firefox.

My institute uses Windows 98 SE (old, I know) and it works like a charm too.
