I guess that makes sense form a supply and demand point of view... but common sense says: how much light do I need in my apartment... If all the rooms are lit to a reasonable level I am not going to go out a buy more lights and plug them in!
Webcams are more common but a proximity sensor would be better. It can tell more easily if somebody really is there... without complicated image processing. And its more private since it doesn't record your image.. you can be in your underwear.
As for the all the negative comments... its great that people are trying new things in UIs. I bet mouse got a lot of negative comments too when it came out back in the day.
You make a good point. If we can somehow decide which one is best technically I bet we could push it to the press. How about a stunt where somebody is a room with only access to the internet via $best social networking tool for a month?
The employees are not property. The employer does not own them while they are at work. They should retain some dignity and rights. I hope we get a watered down version of this rule (since we won't get the whole thing).
Its a redundant police-ism. As speed is measured "kilometers per hour" (in Canada) then "rate of speed" is "rate of kilometers per hour". Just saying "speed" is enough.
Perhaps a water sensor? Ooops but what about rain. Ah, a salt water sensor!
You're not supposed to use cell phone on moving planes.
But the idea of phones disabling texting while in motion isn't feasible.
The demand for bouillon has cubed.
Except the machine takes a cut.
(Or rather than company that owns the machine.)

Appleseed might be better tech-wise. But its mindshare that matters most.
Well those are current and trendy. But is it the best? I suppose php and mysql is too boring.
The name is fine... one you have heard it a couple times.
Probably "The Beatles" sounded like a weird name of a music group and one time.
I like this but...
I wonder how many times you can convert it before it breaks.
Does dirt and stuff get in the mechanism?
Browsers download and run code (javaScript).
What about them?
I thought tons of backwards compatibility was the main point of using Windows!

If I had points I'd bump you to 6.

In that case, could you please give me some.
