Really? I read a man page to see what options they are and how to use them. Stuff like that. That's there. What else do you expect from a man page? Also man pages are for the version of the command that's installed on your machine. Compare Linux man pages (ie a man page for nearly every command, system call, function, etc) to Windows help!
There are lots of possible solutions. One that comes it mine is to let the site with the ads server the ads along with the regular content.
Also its an unfair race. You enter http://example.com/ in the browser and example.com starts loading then it asks for its ads. So, of course, the ads arrive after the example.com content.
I wonder if some of these agreements oblige the USA to cooperate with Germany's laws. Having the entry on the English Wikipedia site is of course visible in Germany.

It could actually evolve into a legit market. Instead of raising money for hijackings then gather money of other ventures.
But ads are useful.

Seems pretty roundabout... to make youtube work they needed Flash. To make Flash work they got Fedora 10 compatibly going.
In sports "benched" usually means taken off the field. I like this tech usage (benchmarked) -- which is new to me.
Or you could go to class :)
... whose first operand is the task to perform. Followed by the necessary operands for that task.
That was my thought too.
I can see heat sinks with liquid pipes in them in the future. Plus regular air cooling. ie a hybrid solution.
Everything *trickles* from Supercomputers/Mainframes eventually.
Nifty but it seems to be a Microsoft thing so can't actually be good. :) Seems to work with javaScript and not Flash or Silverlight!
malls cops won't let you set up a stand in a mall... unless you pay rent and sign an agreement.
Maybe these guys didn't do that.
Open DNS servers don't seem so bad to me.
Like an open website -- OMG everyone can access it.
Of course Germany's law don't apply in the USA but there are many agreements between developed countries. Eg WTO agreements

I guess this purchase will free-up 3Com's stock symbol COMS (a pretty cool one).
I loved those "bang" addresses.

Should have called it HDB (Hot Dead Bird) protocol.
Freedom is slavery.
... they work *all* the time.
Personally, I would never replace my POTS phone with anything "high tech".
I can see a place for this.
Handy for people who want their computer to "just work"... like my parents.
This article is not about all the tech... just the IT stuff.
What chore that they need to use Windows. For a brute force password guesser, most Slashdotters could write it in 10 lines of perl.
So where's the link to the RFC or other plain text document describing the .PST file?
Good point.
This seems to be from 2003.
But it still should have been fixed.
Could it be market share?
