    Are *you* serious?

    (Hardly Anybody writes shell scripts for Windows because the shell sucks. But in the Linux/Unix world tons of users write useful shell scripts.

    Likewise, if there's a protocol, the applications are easier to write and more people can make them!

    This guy has a big UI name but this "genious" paint all open source with the same brush. Personally I think Apache has best GUI every - its easy to read flat file. Open Office, KDE, Gnome are very polisished but lots of stuff isn't.

    That's the average. What about the spikes when its 40C?! The blackout happened last August because of electricity usage because of aircons in the heat. Maybe this thing can help prevent another blackout.

    You can make a program keep running but not show in the task bar by hiding the main window. ie:

    ShowWindow(ghwndMain, SW_HIDE);

    Programs can hide other programs (security hole but that's another issue). So maybe somebody will write an application that show you all your running apps and give you an easy way to toggle if they are showing or now.

    Yes, I was about to "vote" for Signs too.

    It drives me crazy that I have heard some people say it wasn't bad. It WAS bad. There was nothing good about it. The thing about the water was worse that stupid, of course. How about the aliens who could not get thru a locked pantry door. Why did the aliens make the crop circles anyways (the signs)?

    If you ignore the plot holes and look at the "drama" you are faced by very bad acting and people who I could not care about. I wanted these morons to get killed.

    No way I am ever seeing another M. Night movie.

    Money would be better spent teaching the solders the local langauge, customs and religion. Have you seen those videos of US solders busting into Iraq homes and yelling in English?! Gee I wonder why they hate us. If they are wearing silly hi-tech suits they'll be even more alien.

    In Windows you can right click on the Start button
    and add something to the menu. No such luck with Gnome 1.6.

    I agree, there should be a way for the user to disable and hide the features they don't want. For me I want phone and email might be useful. Not much else.
