Depends.. the IJ trailer was good. Many other trailers give away the whole movie making me have no interest in seeing it. I find this way too much in comedies.
BTW that new Mike Myers movie looks horrible! In this case I'm glad they gave the whole movie away so I know not to see it.
A lot of parents work difficult thankless jobs so their kids can have better opportunities. Your examples in particular you may find that. Their jobs are dangerous.
Think of in the US have many buildings (universities, etc) are named after people who gave money to build them--Carnegie, Rockefeller, etc.
That's true, but those names stick a little longer. It gets a little annoying in one of Philly's largest music venues. "Where is Radio Head playing this summer?" "At the E-Center, errrr Tweeter Center, errrr Susquehanna Center." Changing the name 3 times in 10 years is a bit much for me.
As I was watching Dr. Who and admiring the production value the other day, I was wondering how much you guys pay for the license. £139.50 per year is what it said on Wikipedia. That's not bad considering what we in the States pay for cable WITH COMMERCIALS errr adverts. Is this what typical household would pay? Does this include cable access, or just OTA?
I believe education should be exclusively controlled by the state. Pennsylvania has one of the strictest teaching certification programs in the country. Many out of staters will certify in PA so they're certified in other states. PA does not accept certification from other states, however many states will accept certification for PA. I believe education would improve nation wide if more states followed Pennsylvania's model.
Sounds to me like an advertisement to keep funding going to the Orion spacecraft and making sure congress doesn't allow the space shuttle to continue after 2010. Oh look our shuttles are so risky now we need a self destruct button.
"Wernher von Braun used Goddard's plans from various journals and incorporated them into the building of the Aggregat 4 (A-4) series of rockets, better known as the V-2.[6] In 1963, von Braun reflected on the history of rocketry, and said of Goddard's work: "His rockets... may have been rather crude by present-day standards, but they blazed the trail and incorporated many features used in our most modern rockets and space vehicles." Goddard confirmed his work was used by von Braun when, after the war ended, Goddard inspected captured German V-2s, and recognized many components which he had invented.
Goddard was an American. I'm just wondering why the GP post is out to prove America sucks. Technology is evolutionary and contributions are made from around the world.
Like a lot of people in government positions she was good at justifying her usefulness to people that mattered. I still care too much about everyone else at the company (including the VP) to narc them out. Who knows maybe she did her work in a capacity that was transparent to me.
Aren't you glad we're supporting small, disadvantaged, minority, woman-owned businesses at the cost of your (and my) tax dollars?
Yep sounds like my old company of 20 people doing contracts for the government. The President and VP co owned the company... guess who was the president: the minority woman. Guess who did most of the contact establishment, contract negotiation, and assembled the technical know how, and basically ran the company... the white bread male VP. She was useless, and started to get bitter when she began to realize this. Not saying this is a reflection of her nationality or sex, just that she was nothing more than a figurehead for the company so we could get more contracts.
It's a fond memory actually from growing up in the 80's. When I was young brat my dad would bring those home with him to look them over. He'd also bring left over print outs for us to draw on. I remember they had a strange smell. He also brought home old punch cards for the same purpose.
The aircraft has a transponder, the airport has a beacon.
Offtopic a little, but I live near a small airport. Whenever a plane lands my cell phone drops a call. I'll have full bars then it will suddenly go to none. This always coincides with a plane landing. Late at night when there are no planes landing I seem to be fine.
Supposedly drowsiness is a huge cause of traffic accidents. I cannot site references, but I recall some statistics mentioning that it was attributed to a lot of the low end BAC's "drunk driver" accidents.
In most US states getting caught with MJ in the car is less severe than being over.08 with alcohol. Kind of counterintuitive being as though you're allowed to purchase the one with the higher penalty.
have to lose. I always wondered why device drivers are not open source. As they make their money on the hardware they're not losing anything by giving the driver piece to the open source community to enhance. It's worked for Linksys routers. I wouldn't have purchased my particular Linksys unless I knew I could put HyperWrt on it.
There are enough studies out there to show Pornography is a 'pressure valve' and that it reduces crime. According to the History Channel: The History of Sex... the Catholic church during the middle ages actually advocated prostitution on this very premise.
I wondered about that. It's intending to dig in icy areas right? How do they know it's won't be too icy as in they won't be able to get the hoe in the ground
then development is slowed, and high risk advancements are constrained
So what you're saying is: I should kill all people over 50 at my work?! I kid. I kid.
Ha vigilante was the first thing that popped in my head. What happens when these vigilantes feel the power in their hands and they themselves turn evil? A legitimate question would be: couldn't a black hat reverse engineer this and use it against the white hats?
Yeah isolate yourself that way. You're that guy at parties noone wants to talk to because he's so damned pedantic. That post although short disgusts me for its arrogance.

I'm surprised they didn't have a DVD player app as a default. I would think that would be an essential feature of an instant on app.

Don't forget the Gag Rule used by congress to stop discussion on slavery for 13 years.

I agree this is what Federal court is for. Amazon should do business as usual.

then it to be a heavily (government) subsidized effort
Maybe it would move into software so I can get paid not to code.

removes warts. Or so I hear.
Yeah look how it worked for Michael Bay.
