I always check the box Native Alaskan Inuit. And tell my friends to. My hope one day is to see on the census report a large influx of Inuit in the area.
No kidding... I've experienced this. Then you start second guessing if your speedometer is accurate enough to take that risk to pass him at the speed limit.
Shhhh... don't you know women are always right? My tendency to make a joke like that supports your point. Women probably aren't to blame though... I blame the hormones in the water supply!
I guess they figured it was OK since Google started doing it with their little suite with the Google Updater. All I want is the Google toolbar, but I get everything now. Hasn't anyone learned from Realplayer how this puts a bad taste in end-user's mouth when companies do stuff like this?
What justifies taking so long when mergers involving bigger economic concerns like oil took hardly any time in comparison?
Because the radio spectrum is a limited resource and you need an entity to manage it... Oh... wait.. what were we talking about again?
Add to that the Google Updater. It creates a real hassle on my work laptop since it's dependent on Services my work has disabled. All i want is Google Desktop installed so I can search my work emails easily. I used to install Google toolbar everytime I redo an OS, but this time I'm just going to rely on the Firefox search bar.
Furthermore, I'd be more inclined to believe that if put into power, engineers and other hard scientists would probably institute forms of fascism into the government
Sounds like an episode of Twilight Zone or something. Not sure about your sweeping generalization to counterpoint the GP's generalization, but I was always told in college that 50% of the world's CEO's were engineers or took engineering as an undergrad. I never knew if this was true or not. Could have been clever marketing from my university.
Afraid you're focusing too much on the schooling rather than the application. My differential equations class allowed us to have one cheat sheet to write all the formulas we didn't want to memorize. Engineering is like that in school, but it's far from that in the real world. The point of the engineering courses is to give you the tools need to solve the real world problems in creative ways. Yes my Freshman Engineering classes were definitely the most boring... I even thought of dropping out because of it... but then came Sophomore year and I had a prof that was inspiring and gave us real world problems to solve in class. That kept my interest and my grades improved.
Not claiming it as an accomplishment... Just stating what I was competing with. They were all film majors BTW. I had to go the film department and get special permission to join if that means anything.
I suppose you'd make a remark like that because you're sick of tons of modern directors being compared to him as am I. M. Night Shyamalan is no Hitchcock.
Please don't use him as example. Although I enjoyed all those films, I wouldn't say they're all classics that will be remembered a 100 years from now. Use Alfred Hitchcock to argue your point.
if you're given a problem to solve, there's only one correct answer
There is room for art and different innovative ways to implement a solution to a problem. You just don't get that when learning the basics of engineering. Outside of college as well as some of the advanced classes in engineering give you the opportunity to flex your creative muscles. My goal as an engineer is to design that eloquent solution.
As an engineering student that took a film class as an elective I can attest to that! I would write papers that had A's while the students to the left and right of me earned C's. My paper comparing Hidden Fortress to Star Wars scored especially well. Alfred Hitchcock was an Engineering student BTW.
I disagree. My car has all red illuminated dash. I bought a phone charger that has a bright blue led on the top. It decreased my night vision drastically especially on a rainy night. I've since put a piece of electric tape over the thing and problem solved.
Corporate funding is provided by General Motors, Anheuser-Busch, and Bank of America. Major funding is provided by Lilly Endowment, Inc.; Public Broadcasting Service; National Endowment for the Humanities; Corporation for Public Broadcasting; The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations; The Pew Charitable Trusts; The Longaberger Foundation; and Park Foundation, Inc.
Now I wonder if the corporate sponsors received a tax deduction. Wonder if they get a return on the DVD sales.
I think the problem is the average citizen needs examples of what exactly is done to everyone in these situations. When you throw an all encompassing term like "Domestic Spying" it means nothing to them. Fight fire with fire I say. Do the "for the children" thing and say Joe FBI agent can now spy on your 13 year old daughter unencumbered if he/she so chooses.
Tell me about it. My gmail has a simple dictionary word as the username no numbers. I get a ton of emails saying that my mail (that I didn't send) is being refused by their network. Some reason they're all in Spanish.

It's been my experience them just sitting there causes a traffic jam.

In their defense they're talking about the ports, not the protocols. I can safely say Ethernet over coax is dead.

I just tried ctrl-+ on Word 2003. All it did was make the text subscript. Experimenting Ctrl } made the font larger. I will use that now.

Sounds familiar.

If big players like Microsoft are banking on digital distribution it's good for the net neutrality cause... no?
As I said I put electric tape on it. Much more elegant solution I think.

I'll answer my own question from the website:

Frontline... true, but I wanted to see Ken Burn's "The War". Guess they wanted to keep the DVD sales. Wonder if public money went into that program.
Tell them you don't want your POTS line cut. Leave a sign so the installation guy doesn't do it as well. I agree you shouldn't have to request it.
