  1. How-to make the "Favorites" panel stay open on Microsoft Windows 7 "Wishlist" Leaked · · Score: 1

In explorer, I can open the favorites in the left-hand pane by clicking the "favorites" button -- but there is no way to KEEP it permanently open. I have to click the favorites button every. single. time.

You can make the "Favorites" panel open permanently by:
    1) Click on "Tools"
    2) Go to "Toolbars"
    3) Hidelight and click on "Favorites"

Or you can use the keyboard shortcut [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+I

Unless you hit the close window button on the favorites panel, it should remain open the next time you start IE.

From what I've read, he only has the executable up for download at the following location in the Security Now! show notes page: http://www.grc.com/sn/notes-022.htm

I don't recall if he mentioned that he was making the actual code available but since it follows the basic idea behind Ilfak's vulnerability test http://www.hexblog.com/index.html. You could probably dig up more information from that point.

Given the nature of Open Source Licensing, and the spirit of project divergence. I think the probablity of Linux becoming overly consolidated are very low.

The divergence of Linux to multiple platforms, and installation methods (FTP, ISO's, Live-CDs) are just a couple of many (and I mean MANY) of its strengths. (Windows recovery disk can't hold a candle to Knoppix)

Here's a fun game, that I was introduced to by a group of friends. Not sure if its shares any similarity with Settlers of Catan besides the 'Catan' in the name. However, its fun ,and in our gaming experience has a lot of replay value.

In regards to people making 'adjustments' to a story to avoid criticism from a group of people. I still find it hard that people take things intended as entertainment, as something to take offense of.

If a movie or a book disagrees with your personal taste that's too bad - Don't see the movie or read the book. However, I wouldn't restrict someone else from saying bad things about a subject, since everyone should be allow to express themselves without any restrictions, so long as they are willing to allow others the same right to express themselves for or against.

But no group(small or big) should be allowed to restrict someone else's right to an opinion or creative freedom.

But then the question of how to deal with socially repulsive characters who deal in things like child pornography must be asked. (my opinion - aside from finding these perverts and making their lives a living hell)
