Just look at how the PS2 games have evolved since its launch. If handheld games are looking this good at launch, imagine what a couple years of development time will do. You can expect the same leaps, similar to those found with home based consoles, as developers become more familiar with it.
Too bad the developers of Dreamcast games never had the chance to become more familiar with the Dreamcast.
Calculus was invented independently by two different people in two different places. That would have been better.

Halo 2 is the kind of game that not only brings accolades to itself, but elevates its platform. It's proven to be the game to own -- thus making Xbox, Xbox Live, and its headset things that no self-respecting gamer would be without.
Ok... how much is this guy getting paid by Microsoft?

What I'm saying is, the guy makes it seem like Halo was the first time those features were used in a game. Halo only has those features bundled in one game. Innovative? I think not.

Argh I fsck'd up the formatting. It should read:
Justin: Few games come tailor-made for success like Halo 2, but it still surprised me with how damn good it ended up being. Once again Bungie innovates in several ways -- new vehicles, dual-wielding, the deadly melee weapon -- that are sure to be poorly ripped off by lesser games for years to come.
You mean to say other games before Halo 2 didn't have vehicles, dual weapons and melee weapons?

I recently spoke to Microsoft research chief Rick Rashid, who noted, with appropriate awe, that a terabyte of storage now costs about $500. That's enough space to hold every conversation you will ever have from birth to death, or 2000 photographs taken every day of that life, Rashid said. He admitted nobody really knows what such newfound capabilities really mean. Get ready for the life recorder, probably coming soon. It would contain every event from your entire life--probably in video if you want it.
Almost like the Truman Show. But when he says "every conversation," does he mean in audio or in text?
I guess this will be good for biographies. But who would want their life recorded?
I'm using gAIM and mIRC, should I use the IRC feature of gAIM, rather than running two applications? The only thing that's keeping me from leaving mIRC is the fact that mIRC is so expandable with scripts and everything. Does IRC on gAIM support scripts and addons? Or should I stick with mIRC?
See, even coming a few minutes late to miss the commercials will not stop the advertising. Nowadays, the advertising is embedded within the movies. Some do it pretty seamlessly, but I would hate to watch a good movie ruined because the producers had to go out of the way to mention Nike shoes.
I think you forgot about the X-43. You know, the supersonic SCRAMjet engine that set an aircraft speed record at about Mach 10? I don't know about you, but I'd like to see hypersonic flight on NASA's agenda.
The bad guys didn't use cheats? Obviously, they forgot about R1, R1, Circle, R2, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down. That would have lowered the wanted level. What n00bs.
I live in New York, and I think I remember seeing this (or some other shower) last year from my back yard. It was pretty cool, but 5 hours is a bit long, unless you are really into astronomy or things of that sort. Just curious, where do you live anyway?
I do recall an article on/. that said RedHat is the leader in Linux (or something like that) in the browswer wars. If that's the case, it would be logical for IBM to join RedHat, wouldn't it?

Yeah, who could withstand the 1.21 jigowatts?

But at what resolution?

hold on, my reply is buffering :P
Do people really say RealPlayer is an alternative? I've heard Winamp and Foobar, but never RealPlayer.Paperclip: It looks like you're writing a rant. Would you like me to help you format this document? :P
I need to get a life.
Type "1" in Google and hit I'm feeling lucky. Hint: It's not the IE page. Please don't mod me off topic.
The same way we can trust wikipedia articles (but save that for another arguement). More eyeballs = fewer errors.
True! I was laughing at the blank dialog box. Someone tell me how that is the Mozilla foundation's fault, and not a problem with, say, IE/MS Windows?

Same with Budweiser and Miller Lite ads with the football referees. Fair use, I guess.
Well looking at your signature, can it be inferred that "Only morons moderate based on a zig"? :P

Or a gun for someone else to use. Something to ponder about.
Well technically, Russia had "indentured servants", rather than slaves. Euphemism anyone?
