Apparently Russia has already given the ceasefire a chance and it didn't work so well for them. President Bush announced a stab at McCain's plan of a peacekeeping force.
My friends in the blogosphere tell me that Ivan will not be able to resist taking shots at those cute Air Force and Navy girls and boys. So we will have "War with Russia".
When we have the "War with Russia" and it results in "Mutually Assured Destruction" I will vote for whatever Obama/Putin/Democrat/Socialist is available. I will also STFU if I am not yet dead.
However, if the war does not result in "Mutually Assured Destruction" I would expect you to think long and hard about those who have sacrificed their lives for your freedom. I would also castigate you to not cast another ballot until you understand the responsibilities of liberty.
No war, we both vote for Ron Paul.
Is it really worth giving up a democratic republic to avoid Mutually Assured Destruction?
This is more like US v Cuba rather than US v Mexico.
Putin is after control of natural gas. The fact that he is threatening to reabsorb a former Soviet satellite is just icing on the cake. Oh, does Bush look stupid? Sprinkles on top.
When the lights get dimmer, the voltage is going down.
They watch meters real time, predict load based on averages. This weeks load, time of day, last years load, etc. Oh, and they watch the Weather Channel.
Failure prediction? They know what loads have caused failure before. Believe it or not, higher temps and loads (i squared r) cause the wires to stretch. They fail when they come in contact with earth(tree branches, etc) that causes a huge load swing. At 345,000 volts, wood is a conductor.
So a prediction model is new. That is if someone buys and uses it. I've seen multi-floor knife switches that look like they belong in a Frankenstein movie, and an operating turbine with a swastika on the cover.
So this should be in widespread use by what? 2020? Or about a month after someone in Illinois sells power to someone in New Jersey and puts his generator online even though the system operator tells him not to. And the grid goes down. Again.
So I have a prediction: The utilities will fail to fix what is really wrong, a lack of infrastructure to deliver power, until the grid fails again.
If I code in my underwear, am I a nonuniformed combatant?
Kind of like bank robber Willy Sutton. When asked why he robbed banks, Sutton simply replied, "Because that's where the money is."
Most bank robberies occur near banks, so most crime should happen near police stations.
You're just trying to get out of printing costs with that HTML thing. It will never work. You'll see.
You're not fooling us,

Whenever a PC user gets fed up with something his PC cannot do, he either upgrades the OS, or ditches the machine.
MSFT depends on this to sell new copies of its OS. It exists in symbiosis with hardware vendors, who sell hardware/upgrades to handle the new OS.
Some of the machines that are supposed to be going to the PC graveyard are turning into Linux's Zombie Army.
Every day the Zombie Army grows larger. How long until the hardware vendors see the utility in servicing this market?
If Obama was president.
A state that borders two foreign counties and she has expertise in oil. And she beat the incumbent Republican.
If Obama's (Chicago) machine that He invented defeated Hillary, it should have no problem with a couple of noacconts like Palin and McCain.
Do you need to borrow a bible?
Why don't we just narrow it down to Ohio, as it has been shown that you must win Ohio to be the President.
Uh-Oh.. Where'd Hillary go?
(who are, imho,...)
Back it up....
Are you saying:
1. It really must not be his opinion, or
2. He's not humble, or
3. He is standing to closely behind you.

What exactly was small about massive defense spending, and trying to legislate morality?
Supposedly not raising our taxes to do it.
That statement has the profundity of fortune cookie wisdom.
Wise man say e=mc**2.
In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew;
And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up.
And then they came for the Anonymous coward ... But no one knew who he was...
Our commitment to continuing the human race ranks a little bit higher on the ladder then democracy.
War with Russia = Mutually Assured Destruction
DUH!
Guess we are going to find out.
Obama v. McCain
Obama calls for ceasefire, gets it.
McCain calls for peacekeeping force, also gets it.

So far, dead even.

Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.
That's why we don't vote on stuff like global warming.
Global Warming: Religion, disguised as science.
Not that you don't have a right to believe in it.
Paris Hilton displays more sense that either candidate. I'm voting for whichever one offers her the VP slot.
Drill or I'm letting another pound out of my tires!

I can also predict who is going to pay for it.
Or about 6 million boxes of punch cards.
(My church organ uses these to set voices)
So maybe I could make an mp3 of my organ playing each card.
No, you can NOT make a copy.
I'd rather have the book read by someone who didn't pay for it than have it be not read by someone who wouldn't have read it otherwise
You'd also rather have it copied by that person and given to 10 other people, some of whom might have paid for it, if the free copy was not available?
Yes!
Then the users will change them right back to what they were.
Where I used to work, you had to change your password every month. After you changed it three times, you could it back to the original.
So people just changed their password 4 times.
Will he be on Coast to Coast AM soon?
well, for $200, i'm not sure how big you can make it.
Or how small.
DSL strips Debian and then uses a lightweight window manager. Fluxbox or JWM. This uses less memory and allows faster response including boot.
You can do this yourself. Install Debian without a window manager and then add one with aptitude.
Plus you don't need all of those compiled for DSL packages. (Extensins)
This is what I did for my XMAME console and Jukebox.
