    ... isn't claiming to be the "creator"/"artist"/"author" of a fake ID admitting to counterfeiting? Perhaps not the smartest move ever. And since a DMCA 'takedown notice' is a legal document denying authorship of the fake ID later would probably be perjury.

    I sure hope this ends badly for the underaged drunk wannabe.

    ... why is the Bush administration trying to pass a bill allowing for "retroactive immunity for all telecommunications companies"? If there's nothing wrong with what Verizon has done why would the current administration need to cover Verizon's ass with this legislation? Smell's fishy to me ... I wonder if Verizon has done more than the public is aware of?

    No! Every mass market product needs to be made easy enough for most of the population to use. Blaming end users for not being IT majors is just ridiculous. If you needed an IT education to be able to use computers then they would still cost in the $10,00o's.

    Blaming the end users is simply a cop out.

    ... this is successful. I would like to see (and have) other options available besides Exchange. Choice leads to competition, which gives innovation a kick in the pants and keeps prices in check. I just hope the switchover doesn't cause problems for my clients who currently use Comcast for e-mail services.

    If the "market penetration" philosophy were true Unix would have been hacked to bits decades ago. There are a lot more Chevy's around than BMW's, but I bet that more Chevy's are stolen because their "security features" are easier get past rather then just because they're more prevalent.

    If the Apple/Windows market positions were reversed (or Linux/Windows for that mater) Windows would still be less secure. Unlocked doors and windows are still less secure even though there are fewer of them (or in our case more of them).

    This could turn out to be a very cost effective solution for Point of Sale registers. Touch screen flat panels are expensive (and flat panels are popular with PoS devices since they take up much less counter space) so this could lower costs per register by $100 -$200.

    Aren't all opinions subjective? Actually, mine are usually considered offensive, ill conceived or just plain ridiculous ... all though I have had people tell me that they didn't want to be subjected to them, so I guess you're right. ;-)

    Not to be a party pooper, but is there really any application for this tunnel? You can't see it, you can't see out of it, and you need to build it so it can only go to places you can already go.

    In NJ we already have tunnels that seem to do nothing. We call them the Holland Tunnel & Lincoln Tunnel.

    At some point in your presentation billg will say "that's the dumbest fucking idea I've heard since I've been at Microsoft." He looks like he means it. However, since you knew he was going to say this, you can't really let it faze you. This explains why no one put a stop to IE, ActiveX, UAC, etc. when he said it. So I guess Mr. Gates isn't responsible for everything wrong at Microsoft ... it's the people who didn't listen to his good judgment. ;-)
