    I agree with your post for short term, looks like there's some profit taking to be had near term. But look at the 2 year chart. Looks like classic higher lows and higher tops.

    Oh yea? When the worlds largest militia hits the woods in PA for deer season they've been playing cards, telling dirty jokes and drinking like it's the last drink forever till 3:00am. Then they get up at 5:00am and hit the woods in 20deg cold hanging from a tree.

    Deer are safe in most the hunting camps I've been at:-) Your beer isn't.

    Someone told me what they did was remove the TSOP from the unit, place it in their echostar IRD and dumped a current sub to the TSOP, then reinstalled it in the unit. Making it a true clone.

    Someone told me the bird never addresses the TSOP in a write mode, like DTV irds do.

    That's what someone said... i dunno.

    This isn't true for a low end box. Spec out an emachine sometime and try to mach the price after shipping..ect. Last month you could buy a Dell 400SC 2.8Ghz p4, 512ram, 40Gb mide, floppy, cd...ect for $323.

    I think the days of cheaper build your own cheaper are done.

    Or doesn't allow, depending upon how viewing prefs are set. Sometimes it's just a PITA. Easier
    to see what's there with a cmd or command.com or what ever.

    Come so far that it's less efficient.

    Last I heard was the only method of "testing" signal without a sub was to clone a valid sub.

    All that requires is cloning the TSOP. Sounds like a PITA for the time it takes to fix vs the cost of the service (not to mention the obvious).

    Wow.. we never recommended 486sx chips to our clients. At that time we were recommending 386DX40. They were cheaper and quicker the the Intels.

    BTW: wasn't that the 1st time AMD spanked Intel?

    Google has chosen on the side of the stock holders. They have chosen to enter a closed market under the markets terms. Business decisions.

    If I'm not mistaken the new cards encryption isn't designed by NDS. I beleive it's now inhouse. They feel it should be more secure for a longer period.

    The baby boomers retirement income is all invested in 401k's. Social security sure can handle that generations retirement needs if their 401k's aren't flush. They're allowing todays companies to buy cheap labor to accomplish this goal.

    Tomorrows economy will be servicing the baby boomers with income from their 401k's, and developing IP.

    If you think their is trouble now, what happens when social security can't pay what's owed 20 years from now, and the 401k's are valueless.
