Although not very often, I do find myself without a wall socket of any kind for several days on end, for example when I'm on vacation, or at some festival.
Linux? - Too expensive to implement.
He. As kids these day grow up in a linux-filled world, I'll take a bet you're not going to say the same thing in 10 years time from now.
Money, get away
Get a good job with more pay and your O.K.
Money it's a gas
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash
New car, caviar, four star daydream,
Think I'll buy me a football team
Money get back
I'm alright Jack keep your hands off my stack.
Money it's a hit
Don't give me that do goody good bullshit
I'm in the hi-fidelity first class travelling section
And I think i need a Lear Jet
Money it's a crime
Share it fairly, but don't take a slice of my pie
Money so they say
Is the root of all evil today
But if you ask for a raise it's no surprise that they're
giving none away
Money, get away
Get a good job with more pay and your O.K.

If I had the money I would ditch my x86 anytime, in favour of something I would trust not to brak down when it's most needed. But well, x86 *are* cheap, so I'll keep using them for the time being.
But to say they're reliable, I disagree.
In a high-cost production enviroment I would never think of installing x86's.
Are we now all ready to acknowledge the fact that money is nothing more then a set of bounding rules?
It was never introduced to be taken advantage of, like the first world is doing everyday.
I believe any system will break down eventually, if it's not used in harmony with the idea the founders of that system had in mind. Can't realy imagine people back in the days would be proud now, seeing people die without food/water, while others whine about their stock-value.
Maybe, just maybe when some sets go dark, their owners realise digital tv is not worth it, and stop watching television. Nothing more unproductive than having the tv on. People stop talking, stop reading, stop learning, and just go in absorb-mode.
Bush says to scientists: 'develop a more managerial approach to the business of doing science.' Tsk. It' all about r&d in that sector, what is he thinking? Nerds in labs doing it according to the 3P's and the 4M's? *sigh* We're more likely do die because we can't even manage a simple society, than the chance of us getting hit by an asteroid.
The lyric ('More than ever hour after hour work is never over') on the front page, on top of the discofloor is by Daft Punk, 'Harder, Better, Faster, stronger'. I like songs that increase productivity.
It does here.

Just one day? My old 'dumb' phone lasts for several days.
Aren't they stationed there because of things like this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodyear_Blimp

one picture says more than a thousand words, right?
"computerjobs.com wouldn't necessarily represent the entire IT market, but rather a very small percentage of it"
Right. For example I live in the netherlands and it's USA-based.
I'm sure this is considered art, while it's still 'nothing but code': http://www.scene.org/awards.php

This link works, the parent post is just a kind of trailer to this one. The story is removed from LBN.
