I've seen them steal graphics cards, RAM sticks, one scumbag even went so far as to take the customers (then) very expensive 500Gb HDD and replace it with an 80GB, they are absolute POS scumbags and I see no issue with MSFT (or any company) putting these low rent scumbag shops out of business.
The day my boss sent me to the scumbag shop to buy some RAM sticks only to find the feds there and the scumbag had skipped town? Was a VERY happy day, as I'm sure it'll be a happy day for the shops in that area when "Bob's PC World" is shut down.

You have a Win 8.1 system that looks and behaves like Win 7 with a faster boot.
Here is how you do it....1.- Install Win 7, be it Home or Pro (although personally I'm recommending 8 right now, you can get a copy REAL cheap and with 8.1 and Classic Shell its a solid OS) and when you get to the desktop 2.- Install Driver Booster and let it find drivers for your hardware.
This takes care of the "Crap I can't find a single driver for X" issue as it looks at the hardware ID and you can bet your bottom dollar that some OEM already has a Win 7 driver for X, or the manufacturer has a driver for X on their website. DB will handle that, just check the "reboot automatically" and let her rip...HTH.

It was caused by bad business practices which ended up with retailers having huge piles of unsold bad games which they then dumped on the market cheap, which quit people buying new games at full price because "why would I buy a new game for $35 when I can get 5 for $1?"
You see THIS is how it worked in retail back then, and I should know as I was buds with the owner of one of the larger retailers in my area and he and everyone around him all took a bath. The distributors had this "You can't lose!" scheme set up where it went like this..1.- You buy X number of games at wholesale and 2.- Any you don't sell in Y number of days you get to trade for new games so how could you lose? Starting to see the flaw in the system yet? Because retailers thought they couldn't lose they bought much more inventory than they could move without regard to quality because "Hey if it doesn't sell they'll just give me new product until it does sell" and the profit margins were pretty good for retailers then.
What then happened was a snowball effect, as these fly by night game companies sold distributors piles of stock and then went as quickly as they came, the distributors couldn't unload these turkeys for new carts because they found padlocks on the publishers doors so they stopped accepting carts back, and the retailers saw they were stuck with all these carts and went "Holy shit I'm on the hook for thousands of carts I can't sell!" which caused them to just dump in the hopes of recovering some of their money back. As I pointed out earlier this caused gamers not to buy new carts at retail prices because there were bins just filled with carts (my local retailer, in a city of less than 15K, had no less than 5 systems, over 500 titles, and countless handheld games and they dumped them all) which they could get for pennies on the dollar which caused more publishers and game companies to fold, helping the ball build up more steam.
The end result was gamers like me ended up getting Atari carts 10 for a buck, 4 Colecovision carts for a buck, and handhelds for a couple buck a pop. I went into my local store with $50 worth of Bday money and ended up with a shopping cart completely full of games and systems, but the retailers wouldn't touch games or consoles for years after and it would be nearly a decade before you saw stores fully stocked with games after that fiasco.
LOL gotta love the FUD the consolers cook up trying to justify buying a box with a netbook APU for $400 LOL. BTW that isn't hyperbole, the AMD Bobcat (which is all the Jaguar is, its a Bobcat with a die shrink gain) was designed for netbooks and tablets.
As for "10,000 dollar ultimate gaming system" allow me to ROFL, considering you can throw together an AMD APU system that can do BF 4 at 30FPS (exactly the same as what consolers get) for around $400. Hell I play my games with bling bling out the ass, so much purty that I often get killed because I'm drooling over the graphics instead of watching what I'm supposed to be doing and the cost of this system? A hair under $600 after all the MIRs.
And of course you ignored the biggest advantage the PCs have over the consolers, which is while the console will look dated as hell in 2 years or less (because unlike previous gens where they were having to code for exotic hardware like PPC and Cell which took awhile to get the most of this round its an AMD APU, a well known arch) mine and most other PC gamers will simply be able to upgrade our systems on the cheap. Just swap out our GPU, or better yet slap in a second one at a much lower price for CF/SLI and voila! Years of gaming goodness.
This isn't even counting the lifespan of the systems which can be insanely long (heck my PC gaming system from 7 years ago is still able to play the latest games, the owner just stuck an R9 in it and away he went), the fact that they are the most backwards compatible system on the planet (You can easily play PC games from the early 80s and consoles from the mid 70s- the PS2 era), can do multiple functions without restrictions being put on by the manufacturer, and when you look at the TCO you WILL end up coming out ahead compared to consoles. in fact most studies I've seen had PCs the better choice at the 1 year mark thanks to the sales and quickly lowered prices compared to consoles.

You DO realize if you want to play the whole "in real life" game that since we are talking about a good that can have infinite copies made for no cost its actual "real world value" would be less than a single sheet of generic toilet paper, yes? To me the question of adblocking is VERY simple...are Google and Yahoo willing to actually stand behind their product and pay for any and all damages when they let malvertising through? No? Then they can jump off the nearest bridge.
Their "product" is a huge security threat and this has been shown time and time again to be so. If you block advertising? The risk of malware infection drops so low as to be off the charts, in fact I can't even remember the last PC that came through the shop that got infected when the user had adblocking enabled. As long as their "product" remains the #1 risk to a computers security I WILL install adblocking on every PC that crosses my desk, to do otherwise just to support some corp that can't keep malware out of their network? Sigh...poor child, you don't understand the bad games DID kill the industry...but not in the way you think. It was caused by bad business practices which ended up with retailers having huge piles of unsold bad games which they then dumped on the market cheap, which quit people buying new games at full price because "why would I buy a new game for $35 when I can get 5 for $1?"
You see THIS is how it worked in retail back then, and I should know as I was buds with the owner of one of the larger retailers in my area and he and everyone around him all took a bath. The distributors had this "You can't lose!" scheme set up where it went like this..1.- You buy X number of games at wholesale and 2.- Any you don't sell in Y number of days you get to trade for new games so how could you lose? Starting to see the flaw in the system yet? Because retailers thought they couldn't lose they bought much more inventory than they could move without regard to quality because "Hey if it doesn't sell they'll just give me new product until it does sell" and the profit margins were pretty good for retailers then.
What then happened was a snowball effect, as these fly by night game companies sold distributors piles of stock and then went as quickly as they came, the distributors couldn't unload these turkeys for new carts because they found padlocks on the publishers doors so they stopped accepting carts back, and the retailers saw they were stuck with all these carts and went "Holy shit I'm on the hook for thousands of carts I can't sell!" which caused them to just dump in the hopes of recovering some of their money back. As I pointed out earlier this caused gamers not to buy new carts at retail prices because there were bins just filled with carts (my local retailer, in a city of less than 15K, had no less than 5 systems, over 500 titles, and countless handheld games and they dumped them all) which they could get for pennies on the dollar which caused more publishers and game companies to fold, helping the ball build up more steam.
The end result was gamers like me ended up getting Atari carts 10 for a buck, 4 Colecovision carts for a buck, and handhelds for a couple buck a pop. I went into my local store with $50 worth of Bday money and ended up with a shopping cart completely full of games and systems, but the retailers wouldn't touch games or consoles for years after and it would be nearly a decade before you saw stores fully stocked with games after that fiasco.
LOL gotta love the FUD the consolers cook up trying to justify buying a box with a netbook APU for $400 LOL. BTW that isn't hyperbole, the AMD Bobcat (which is all the Jaguar is, its a Bobcat with a die shrink gain) was designed for netbooks and tablets.
As for "10,000 dollar ultimate gaming system" allow me to ROFL, considering you can throw together an AMD APU system that can do BF 4 at 30FPS (exactly the same as what consolers get) for around $400. Hell I play my games with bling bling out the ass, so much purty that I often get killed because I'm drooling over the graphics instead of watching what I'm supposed to be doing and the cost of this system? A hair under $600 after all the MIRs.
And of course you ignored the biggest advantage the PCs have over the consolers, which is while the console will look dated as hell in 2 years or less (because unlike previous gens where they were having to code for exotic hardware like PPC and Cell which took awhile to get the most of this round its an AMD APU, a well known arch) mine and most other PC gamers will simply be able to upgrade our systems on the cheap. Just swap out our GPU, or better yet slap in a second one at a much lower price for CF/SLI and voila! Years of gaming goodness.
This isn't even counting the lifespan of the systems which can be insanely long (heck my PC gaming system from 7 years ago is still able to play the latest games, the owner just stuck an R9 in it and away he went), the fact that they are the most backwards compatible system on the planet (You can easily play PC games from the early 80s and consoles from the mid 70s- the PS2 era), can do multiple functions without restrictions being put on by the manufacturer, and when you look at the TCO you WILL end up coming out ahead compared to consoles. in fact most studies I've seen had PCs the better choice at the 1 year mark thanks to the sales and quickly lowered prices compared to consoles.
