Yes, indeed, it can. But of course, people who like dubbed anime will most likely want to counter your argument with reasons like they shouldn't have to do two things at once (i.e. read and watch) while viewing an animé, the video can easily be altered frame-by-frame to match the dubbed voices, etc., etc., ad infinitum. I've witnessed some of this debate before, and I just simply adopt a neutral point of view whenever the subject comes up.
I don't know, TripMaster Monkey. The original article you linked to just reports that a virus or worm made it into the product stream. The article Zonk just posted notes a subsequent recall. I don't really see how this article could be a dupe.
Well, I tried doing what this article said, and even though Firefox was still running, I could no longer [Ctrl]+[V] (paste) any text into it. I could use the paste command everywhere else, just not in Firefox. That and I could no longer shut down the computer without resorting to holding down the power switch on the front of my tower.
Man, I guess it is a bit of an irony. I guess NASA might just have to go right back to the drawing board and look for a material that is both safer for the shuttle astronauts and even more environmentally friendly than what they are using right now. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert in this field, so I would not have any ideas of what to replace it with.:-|
You know, it really seems to me that the FOSS community really does not want to focus on true average-user-friendliness, because Microsoft beat it to that concept, and since Microsoft seems to be very adversarial to the FOSS community, it does not want to embrace a concept it thinks Microsoft already has a "stranglehold" on. That's why Windows is on almost 100% of the lower-end-users' computers, and not any of the free alternatives. No offence, but that is how I really see the big picture here.
Oh, I think Wikipedia will need as many servers as it can accept. Even with the number of servers Wikimedia has right now, and because Wikipedia also includes profound quantities of images and sound files, the project still has a significant amount of downtime once in a while (which I have observed, given that I am a regular contributor), and I hope this action will reduce that downtime considerably.
> "Microsoft has bought a product that makes UNIX and Linux servers more attractive by giving them needed security protections and has destroyed it for the express purpose of making UNIX and Linux servers less attractive."
Yep. Just another example of the pigs wanting to make their trough as full as possible.
> "Vaporware is technically correct: you can't download and use Avalanche. But you may be able to in a year or two."
You'll probably be saying that again two years from now. Anybody remember the debacle Microsoft had when Gates said that MS was working on a 64-bit operating system that, according to him, would be available a year after he said that? It was nearly five years before it finally happened.
Avalanche? That's actually what Microsoft will end up buried in, only it won't be snow, it might just be trash in a landfill.
I wouldn't exactly call them oligarchies. I think the term "plutarchies" (i.e. rule by the drowning-in-money Bill-Gates-esque pigs feeding at the proverbial trough) would be more accurate.
They still can't add Valdes Island??? I mean, it should be on their maps, just to be a little more accurate. If you don't know where Valdes Island is, it's just off the coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, between the Gabriola and Galiano Islands.

Well, just make sure they leave in Isaac Hayes for Chef. If not him, then use Will Smith. Why Will Smith? Just a random pick.
I don't know, but it may be a sine of things to come.

Heck, (s)he probably might not even make it through the first round of a spelling bee.

...how to keep the external tank completely intact, eh?
> This stuff is starting to get ridiculous. It's a book FFS, not an issue of national security!
FFS? What does that stand for?
If it's held in Vancouver. 'Nuff said.

Hey, why do you think they call it "grey matter" anyway?
