Firefox has crashed so often on my comp over the entire year (compared to IE), its ridiculous!
IE on the other hand, hasn't crashed at all (as far as i can remember)! It seems so much more stable.
If i actually used IE though, it might be a different story:P
doesn't leave a lot of people (like an entire continent) feel left out.
Well, here in Australia (which is a continent), the 360 wont be released til March 2006 at the earliest. That does leave us feeling left out. I was never going to get one in the first place, but i still find this annoying - especially considering that we are called part of the European market, and they are getting the release this year.
Mind you, Sony is much worse at this, usually having to wait 9 months to a year after the rest of the world has one of their machines.
Games are also delayed. Some never get released. The original Katamari, for example, was never released here. There are many others (especially RPG's) which just never reach our shores. While MS is doing something a little better than is generally done by their competitors, there is still a long way to go before we truly have a 'global' marketplace where everyone is seen as an equal.
If I understand right, Final Fantasy is now 360-exclusive.
I'm not sure where you got that from, but I don't think anything along those lines has ever been said by Square-Enix. The only announcement thus far is for FFXI on Xbox360. FFXII is on PS2. FFXIII has not been announced for a specific console. Square-Enix has said that they will support the Xbox360, but not exclusively (as yet, at least).
I want to rant at your post, but im not sure on the right words to use...
Games Designers to Programmers ratio in the world is rather one sided to actually try and base your argument off. A good game designer is indeed a rare find. Programmers, on the other hand are a dime a dozen (in comparison). To say that OSS games such as this put programmers out of a job is a bit far fetched (especially after you first complain about this game being a clone of an old game).
Programmers generally dont get creative jobs - thats what designers are for. Copying ideas, and giving it away is one of the main thrusts of OSS. You will find that the most creative and original ideas in OSS come in the form of programmers tools because the programmers know what they want themselves.
Its hard being a game designer when your not a game designer. Different groups and cultures go about life differently.
To take the scripts thing a bit further, you come to websites using (just one example) phpMyAdmin... Is every site that uses this required to release their php scripts for not only accessing the database, but their general web design?
Obviously the scripts aren't declared derived works, even though they technically *are*. What is the distinction and where does one side end and the other begin?
Over here in Australia, most games RRP $AU89.95 to $AU99.95. Mostly the latter...
In $US, it becomes $US71.35 to $US78.52... We get seriously ripped up over here... Dont even get me started about console prices...
Seems it's similar to Britain though
First i've heard of someone complaining about them...
I happen to love the PS2 controller. I find it fits so well in my hand, and is rather more intuitive than the other systems. The symmetrical sticks make it balance well, rather than having hands in all different places...
I believe Ape Escape on the PS was Analogue only. I think there was also one or two others (but i can't confirm).
I agree!!!
:P

"because Google never does evil."
:P
It's for that very reason that you don't see this story about Gmail in the first place
The problem here is not that Microsoft is trying to fight spam. We would all love it to stop. It's simply the WAY that they are trying to do it...
I was simply pointing out that this is hardly newsworthy...
10% of sites in UK are incompatible with firefox?
Thats nice to know... Next please...
Not all software is compatible with linux...
But if someone in a rubber house wants to throw stones, i think they deserve what's coming to them...
It's being launched at E3 this year!!!
They even got Duke Nukem Forever as the exclusive launch title! Talk about a killer app!
