Sir, the term "dugg" came from "Slashdotted". You fail at both nerdiness and the internet. I am afraid I will have to revoke your nerd card now, assuming you have one at all. Please reconsider ever referencing Digg on Slashdot again. Doing so again may result in injury or death.

That explains it. No Firefox, No Safari, And the interface was designed so poorly, I would rather use bittorrent or limewire over their site.

  4. If you can't handle it... on A "Bill of Lights" to Restrict LEDs on Gadgets? · · Score: -1

Put a switch on it! Or, if you want to make a fancy solution, run every LED you have through a common bus switch, so you can turn off all LEDs quickly and efficiently with one switch. Personally, I can't see why anyone would ever want to get rid of an LED. Sure, most consumers wont know what they are looking at with the lights on the router, and they don't care whether their dvd player is in standby or not. But its efficient and nice clean lighting, always there when you need it. I could use some quieter fans in my system, but I'd never block an LED. BTW: My room has been accidentally arranged by LED color: From my bed, i see only orange on one side of the room (Hub, Nic from back of server, doorbell) and the other side only green (dell power light, keyboard indicators, palm + pocketpc chargers) - Just noticed recently. (I need more blue stuff :P)

    How you do?

Way of the simple is to run cord of extention to the outside of house. Be plugging in the 486-WetherMaster 4.0. Connecting cord of ethernet you should now. Be running Pinger on the server computer to see if the 486-WetherMaster 4.0 is worked.

If the Pinger program stop of the working, the 486-WetherMaster 4.0 is of being in bad wether. Be unplug the WetherMaster 4.0 so fire should not to migrate from the WetherMaster 4.0

    Noting:
      - Never left the WetherMaster 4.0 where car ran over it.
      - If much rain, WetherMaster 4.0 will to migrate fire to cord of extention. Caring with rain.
      - Results was more acurate with or 2 more WetherMaster 4.0's. Making sure the state lid is open or closed than other one.

Any damage of personal is not responcibility of author of this text. :P Could work... but no temp monitor. If you find a rare 486 with a temp guage, you might be able to use it... :D

  25. Permanent Solution on How to Keep Music for Forty Years? · · Score: -1

Well, technology always advanges. Something newer that lasts longer, is safer, etc will always override the previous technologys. For example, the writeable cds slowly took over the floppy market, because they were safer (No magnetic data loss) and held more, and were getting cheaper.

What we need is a permanent solution. Magnetic will eventualy erode. Optical discs not only have the risk of scratches, but also cd-rot, whether their burnt or profesional.

The true permanent solution is right at our fingertips. Or rather attics -> PUNCH CARDS!

They last forever, they dont get damage from magnets, they dont rot. All you have to do is keep them dry!
