  1. OS X = Techical persons dream on Intel Head Recommends Apple · · Score: -1

I resently had a friend of mine switch from Gentoo to tiger. He had converted me to gentoo, he was a linux guru.

Then he got a mac mini.

He showed me how nice the system was. As long as IE is gone for good, that system is basicly invincible.

For giving computers to idiots, that is the system i always recomend. I always set up a seperate admin account. for them. Then i tell them to always read the licences before installing software.

They never have to reinstall. They run a smoth clean powerful OS till their HD goes. The only time they ever bug me is when they cant seem to install hardware or software.

This amazing system is worth every penny, and i recommend it to every windows user out there.

    (I'm still a gentoo-er, dont worry...)

M$ will get as many OSS dudes in the room, lock them up, then stick "linux" (DOS with bash as shell; eg: linux command completion.) into windows, and call it open source. the source is as follows:

/* Microsoft's OSS GNU licence: Microsoft has full control of the source code and users of this aplication. We will take over your computer. This software will kill you if not compiled and run on windows XP or greater. you can distrobute this software freely, if you send us $100 per copy sold. Aint that great? blah blah blah....

goes on for so long, nobody ever gets to the point that they realize there is no source code.

Then kde, kernel, gnome, and Xorgs development teams will be captured and used as hostages till all users switch to XP SP2 or longhorn...
    DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how long before we can completely seperate the cores through linux, boot off only one, and run a different kernel (bsd, unix, or linux) at the same time.

There have been discussions of this, but this sounds like the most ideal time to do it. Hyperthreading was a big joke, but if this system can acualy seperate the threads, this would be amazing... and a step closer to windows + linux running at the same time!

I wonder what amd has in store for intel, why would they wait to release their monster?
