    In summary, thanks to a 1991 high court ruling that (frankly) upholds "Common Law", police can only enter a property as far as your front door and must leave when asked to do so unless they have a warrant.

    I'd almost rather have to deal with terrorism first hand (in the off chance it ever actually happens) than deal with the government every waking hour that is immediately effecting our lives

    I did this in the last election - and apparently so did a great chunk of others, that's how we ended up with a minority government... Didn't improve anything though.

    Only if they install them at entry/exit points of bogan populations - the kind of people who would go through a radiation scanner frequently have higher iq's and make better breeding stock if they ever get around to breeding.... vs the bogans who do nothing but breed and can barely manage to dress themselves

    I'll strip naked for you if you like, but I'll be farked if you think I'm going to subject myself to extra unnecessary radiation no matter how small.

    That 25% is the Australia tax (No, not Australian tax, or gst, that's only 10% the 25% is an example of what gets added to everything sold here, we can import things from the USA and China, pay shipping, and even tax if need be and still say 25-80% compared to local market).

    Too late, it doesn't matter if the PS4 literally was required to live* I wouldn't buy it because I was one that does miss the OtherOS feature and did pay a premium ($750ish) to get a console (my first since the sega megadrive (genesis for some) with the feature.

    Sony have burned some customers forever - I'll never be back and even try avoid them in other enterprises (seen many sony pictures lately?)

    If you're not getting anything for it, release it under an opensource license - I've had this problem at work where they've desperately needed stuff that they didn't have time or manpower to do during hours, I've gone home and written it. We've come to the understanding that if they don't want to pay for it I will GPL it and they can have it free, with the usual constrains on GPL licensing.

    I'm not currently a customer, but I've watched them for a while (friends with one of their staff, full disclosure) and will be going to them when I need to move off my DSL.

    Not the cheapest but they do offer a discount for open source developers

    Here's the thing - When Apple sues to defend it's patents - it lists them, usually with evidence...

    When Microsoft intimidates to get licensing for it's patents it doesn't - it's a protection racket, ye-olde mob style "Pay your insurance and we'll make sure you don't get beat down" - When Microsoft actually starts listing the patents it's licensing then I might support them more but in the mean time I want Samsung to stare them down.

    Duke Nukem forever is ok, but this isn't?

    I remember Duke Nukem and I wouldn't let my kids play it (but just try and stop me from playing it!)

    Oh well, I've never been a fan of Mortal Kombat - but now I must import the game as an act of civil disobedience
