In the gubernatorial race on the Democrat side is Gina Raimondo - someone who I don't like very much because much of her background seems falsified. Then on the Republican side there's Alan Fung, current mayor of Cranston, RI. I worked with Alan at the RI Dept. of Attorney General and he didn't strike me as the sharpest crayon in the box then and doesn't now.
The moderate party is running Robert Healey who I actually like.
And for mayor I have the choice of Jorge Elorza and his One Providnece baloney - as all his FB posts are in Spanish, Daniel Harrop a Republican who is a bigot, and Buddy Cianci, the twice convicted former mayor. I'm leaning heavily toward write-in for that.
As to the federal side - no competition to speak of. Same for my local rep and senator.
Is that voting records are public records. And ever since 2006 when the Help America Vote Act was passed - almost every state has a centralized database of all voters that they'll sell for a modest fee to anyone.
I've long had a copy of the voter database for my state on my computer. You just never know when it comes in handy.
If the U.S. government will step in and prevent the sale. After all gov't here LOVES their Blackberry devices. And it wouldn't do to have the Chicom government exercising control over the construction of the phones - who knows what could slip in?
A responsive development team. That's pretty cool! Now if only Google would put some time into improving Gmail because their web based product sucks ass.
I despise most all of Symantecs products from their craptastic PGP implementation, drive encryption, etc. It's horrendous. It's why I went 100% Unix. Don't need Symantec at all for AV or firewall or PGP or encryption. It's built into Linux.
That plus enterovirus. We had a kid die recently but he had two concurrent infections, one of which was enterovirus. Now they're beating the panic drum.
The same as registration stickers here in the U.S.?
>
Because for a very long time we here just piled the stickers on the plates. Then when a corner got too full you'd pile them on other corners.
Now parking permits are another matter entirely. They are easily replicated and nobody would know the difference.
A good 40MPH over the limit on highways. Here in RI most of the highways are 55MPH or 65MPH. But I recall as a kid they used to all be 70MPH.
So I can be found flying down RI-4, or I-95 in a variety of vehicles.
Most recently I had a Subaru Impreza - speedy little beast. I was on I-95N in the left hand lane until I came upon an asshole doing 55MPH there. So I dropped to the right, accelerated. I see headlights behind me while I'm doing 85MPH. It's a State Trooper - he just cuts around me. Didn't even turn the lights or siren on. And the car was in fact RED!
Luckily I live in a city that understands spiciness. For example there are several Indian restaurants - all have great food. Then there's a Carribean restaurant near me - the jerk spicing is excellent.
I was thinking the very same thing. Besides, what fun in there in hijacking an aircraft anymore when you can just terrorize the thousands of people in an airport instead.
Here in the northeast National Grid is definitely scared. They've started dumping all sorts of money into advertising what a good neighbor they are. I say screw them.
What I'm planning to do is get the hell out of this region anyhow. Can't stand the winters anymore. So where I go - I plan to put up about 4kW to 6kW of panels with a storage array connected. Probably lithium ion but maybe even super cap in an external structure. Then cut the cord completely. Tell them to come and disconnect everything attached to the house that belongs to them, including their meter.
Not all of us love Win 8 - 8.1 and 9 will be better. In fact I'm moving away from Windows in general. For example, how long does it take Microsoft to patch a major vulnerability? In the linux world it took a day.

Transparent aluminum - which I believe actually exists.

Here's a few theories. Better policing, the banning of ethyl lead in gasoline - take your choice.

Backward compatibility. Which btw Microsoft has broken a time or three.
I don't think we're going to go machine bodies. Regenerative medicine will see to that.

Great takedown. And here's the thing - humanity as we know it has been around at a minimum of a couple hundred thousand years.
Meanwhile in the Boston area we have positively antiquated vehicles on the Red, Green and Orange lines. It's time to move toward the future.
I wouldn't say that. A good friend of mine is on facebook under an alias. Plus I won't admit how many facebook accounts I have.

That underneath it all is a flat file structure and a database product like MS-SQL, MySQL or even PostgresSQL.
What they really need is someone that's good at reverse engineering.

Yup - I've done this myself. Just walk right in.

They really don't even think about that.

Actually it sounds like a great place for a black hat to play!
The amount of guilt a parent will be able to lay on a kid in China? I gave my blood for you!
Where Postrgres and MySQL were used for web applications and they performed very well.

My work Unbuntu laptop to BASH IV this morning. I'll do my personal Ubuntu box later tonight,.
