Your response will weigh heavily upon my decision to restart my EVE subscriptions: How bad is Jita's lag, still? How do you know? Are you a Jita station-sitter, or you just go there seldomly to purchase things?
How are large battles? Are they still lag-fests? I know that the number of ships able to take part in a battle has steadily risen, but the amount of ships that corporationss can put on the field always outstripped the countermeasures CCP could put in place. Is this still the case? Is it still common to hit the five-minute latency battles?
I haven't read the article. Are you saying that the battery electronically switches the cells used so that they each get the same charge/use time, like solid-state storage medium?
I was really looking forward to your reply on this topic, but if this is what you're going to give me, I'm wasting my time looking for a decent opposing viewpoint.
One of the many reasons that "super-deep" (15km and less) boreholes cannot be drilled further is because the increase in temperature is too much to deal with to go further. There is a non-negligble increase in temperature even when you are "close" to the surface.
However, due to higher than expected temperatures at this depth and location, 180' C (356' F) instead of expected 100' C (212' F), drilling deeper was deemed unfeasible and the drilling was stopped in 1992.
When did it say I supported the Bay of Pigs Invasion, Vietnam War, Grenada, the second war in Iraq, among others? That you would suggest I support this administration or some of the wars waged in the past 50 years is nonsense and entirely unfounded.
I said nothing except the fact that we need to have a military or we will eventually get run over by another country. A wise man once told me, "When in Rome, good fences keep good neighbors." You seem to have agreed with this, but the rest of your rant is completely unwarranted.
A souped-up artillery cannon to fire (decelerate) the trash in specially designed canister rounds would be pretty neat. It could be installed with shocks so the sudden impulse wouldn't damage any of the space station components. Although I'd imagine that rocket fuel is more efficient ounce-for-ounce than whatever gunpowder they use in an artillery cannon.
Tell the rest of the world to get rid of their militaries and all animosity towards the rest of their fellow man, and maybe the US will get rid of theirs, too. Until then, I don't see a lot happening in this area.
At the end of the day, DARPA specialises in technology that is designed to benefit the military, and as a result, is frequently designed for either either killing people, or making it easier to do so. Yes, there's the whole "defence" argument; that the technology will be used for saving lives. But this is a half-truth, the lives being saved are almost always select (only lives belonging to a certain state(s) (the US and potentially its allies in this case)), and often at the cost of other lives.
Unfortunately, there will always be people who dislike other countries. In order to defend against those countries, one needs a suitable defense force or a steadfast ally who has a suitable defense force. For all the horrible things the US government has done for the past 200 years, I am much happier that it was the US who ended up on top, rather than a less open and less civilized country. I would prefer it stay this way, as the US still has a long way to go down the dark path to fall out of my favor entirely.
Can you give some examples? There are large swaths of super bright concrete at many US Army airfields, but I don't see anything that amounts to censorship. Which is strange, because the NSA HQ at Fort Meade, MA is perfectly viewable (in high-res!), yet you say a basic Army base is classified.:)
Oh, and before I forget, fusion is a form of nuclear energy as well.
Good luck burning coal in your power plants without involving any atom nuclei.;)

I've got your same card, and I just bought a 22" widescreen monitor to accompany it. I'm not impressed with Crysis, but I will eventually get through the game and the sequel as well. It's like eating straight caramel... good at first, but you can only eat so much at once.
Now I have caramel crysis cravings.

I'm 22, and this is the first presidential election I've ever actually even listened to. Can somebody who is 26 or older tell me, is there anything different about this election than the last one, or does it pretty much run this same route every time? i.e. is media focus the same, before and after the primaries, and so on?
You should try Assassin's Creed. The parkour is exceedingly well implemented, and it's a blast to play for the first 5-10 hours before the game quests themselves get repetitive. The environments displayed thus far in Mirror's edge are a lot more bland and contrived than those found in Assassin's Creed.
I watched a preview of the first couple levels, a total of about 20 minutes of video. I haven't played the final release yet, of course, but what I did see was horribly close-ended level design, which pretty much guarantees I won't play the game. I will be reading reviews after the game's release to see if this changed, but I don't think it has. Please prove me wrong, because the game at least seems very interesting other than this breaking point.
... Pro-Life, etc....
I think pro-life is about as indefensible of a position as anyone can come up with. I'm anti-life. Kill 'em all, I say! ;)
WOW! Only 2gb maximum on their server nodes? I had no idea it was so strained!

Thanks, and please anybody, answer!
for another two hours, you get an extra 10% 'superboost' charge!"
Maybe I can use this "superboost" to get through? I can combine it with a barrel roll

Hey, I just removed the "citation needed". You're good to go.

I found a link about the "all in caps" theory, on Wikipedia itself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_protester_conspiracy_arguments
Wow... that video was terrible. It's an interview from CBS, so it's not overtly slanted against Palin, either...
