That makes sense. And I see why you'd use VNC at that point - although I believe you can get a standalone installer for RDP that works on 2K as well.
I do suggest trying out RDP. Basically, the things I like about it is that it does some of the MFC work on the local machine - it transmits bitmaps and such, but lets the client build windows and such.
If you're already an XP user, it's pretty ridiculous to suggest that VNC is more difficult. The Remote Desktop client and server are built in, and all it requires to enable the server is a *single checkbox*.
There is a well-documented phenomenon whereby those who are renting a lot of movies are having their deliveries slowed down to keep Netflix from losing money.
That $82 billion is for Iraq. It's not for a space initiative.
It's ridiculous to give the military money for "space" projects. They already get more than anything else in the federal budget.
Thanks. I want to mention - if a group does nothing more than protect the wages and benefits of their membership, they're better than the corporation they work for - who only protects the investment of people who aren't producing anything for the money they receive.
You're in a different field - it's not a valid comparison. Let's consider how many times teachers have gone on strike, and let's consider what the districts were trying to take away each time. Remove all those things, and you have where teachers would be without union organization.
I strongly suggest you read about the history of unions and how they got us (and you) to where we are today. Without them, there'd be no such thing as overtime, a legally mandated work week, workplace safety, etc, etc.
That's ridiculous. It's a common term referring to someone with a lot of power, and it's certainly warranted. For calling him a "cracker", though, I only wish you had used your real name.:)
I went to an elementary school in Olympia, WA.
During the time I served, in first grade, the teacher didn't want us to address negative numbers - she felt it was simpler to accept that 2-4=0. I was incredibly frustrated, because my parents had already taught me multiplication tables - I was quite a bit ahead of the class. I was actually marked off repeatedly on tests for answering several questions like the example with negative numbers.
Eventually, my mother showed the graded work to the principal and had the teacher disciplined. I only wish it were that simple for everyone.
I saw episode one, didn't bother with two, and I may go see three if the reviews are good enough. I think I'm representative of non-obsessive adult geeks.
All social policies affect business. I've been getting tired of hearing this argument at work - the fact is, Microsoft is only expected to take stances on these issues because it has a realized monetary gain for the company. There are a lot of very, very smart gay people out there who are attracted to work for the company by policies like this, and there are a lot people in the world who make purchase decisions based on social standing.

And it's too bad I finished using my mod points, because for that nonsensical reply, you would have gotten modded troll.

Yes, and the teachers, longshoremen, truckers, railroad workers, and grocery workers have done well as well.
Mod parent up. Our defense contracts are easily an order of magnitude larger than Chinese software purchases.

I believe the idea is to use it in conjunction with a Media Center PC.
You can't, given by the fact that you're here. Why not open up the other half of the field? You might have a better chance.

Mod this up! This is exactly the problem.
I just thought it was ironic. :)
I don't even know *how* to mod (although if regular users can, perhaps I have enough karma to...)
Wrong post. -1, Offtopic...
Look, you clearly haven't read the bill. Go read it, then get back to us.

I was planning to walk away from the company. Now I probably won't.
I think they'll miss a fan who owns all the DVD sets for the other series, eh?
They can, as far as I know, but IANAL.
With that in mind, would it really cost that much to get back to the moon? I mean, say we did three missions.
I just have one question for you: You say that the Apollo project cost over $100 billion in today's dollars - but for how many missions?
Rolled up the script, and lit his cigar with it? I agree.
