If I leave a loaded gun outside for anyone to use, aren't I responsible for anything done with that gun?
uhhh, not under any US law I have heard of. The person who did the "anything" would be responsible for what they actually DID. Maybe you could get some sort of negligence charge, but if they killed the mailman you wouldn't be a murderer.
Why should you have to surrender your privacy for no reason. Would you let me look over your unmodified hard drive if I wanted to? Or should we only submit to corporations?
Surely she knows about.pdf. I have had professors require that everything be turned in as a.pdf specifically because he didn't want to hear about how xyz was different on your machine or software suite. Then again I have had others who won't deal with anything but a.doc and specifically state that if it is an OOo.doc that doesn't work when he opens it with office he is going to crush your soul.
Because it is known that, A) every one uses the installation disk for their wifi AP's and routers (I know I don't), and B) Having a sheet of paper with the default WEP keys for each manufacturer is preventatively difficult.
I'm not 100% on this, but I think that when you sold the disc back you would also be selling back your right to listen to it. Fair use would say you can use the copies as long as you own the original, not forever.
All that and it's free -- you don't even have to sit through a "Join the Army" lecture to get it.
no, but you do have to go through some really lame ass "training" before you can play... and to use better weapons... all in all, training KILLED this game... i was never able to get any of my friends to play due to this, and really it annoyed the hell out of me to have to do it... especially the ones where you have to take a test based on a lecture, or the spec ops (i think) one where you have to listen to like 8 guys lecture you on spec ops, and you HAVE to let it play the entire speach...
though every game that requires a cd check (every game iv played for quite some time) with a central server to play online (the only reason to even buy games) would suffer from the exact same problem should the company crumble along with said central server.
though the html on that page is screwed up so there is no link, but viewing the source gets you that first link, i used the contact page to inform them and even gave them the right code (real hard, i know) but apparently they like it this way...
Arkaine, and thats the main dev afaik. I think he has the fah config outside of the knoppix image (still on the.iso (not sure how this knoppix thing actually works)) so that you can change the config without remastering. Atleast thats what he told me, i've never actually done it.
How can they sleep at night? Well, siphoning off some charitable contributions is evil, but not as evil as, say, hitting somebody over the head and taking their wallet.
many would argue that. atleast in #2 you have to work for the cash and the person has a chance in hell of defending themself...
Exactly what i was thinking. The article is a total waste as it doesn't provide the reader with any useable informantion. Ad-aware will report a much higher number than spybot even if they detect the exact same software. Overall, I was let down big time by this article.
hmmm, does this mean that displays with dead pixels will instead be shipped to the US or other countries where the policy does not apply? this could mean an increase in dead pixels in other countries. maybe ill think twice before buying a samsung panel.
You are honestly going to blame PC games for you buying a low end integrated graphics solution and then trying to do something it wasn't made to do?
Would you also be upset if your Honda Civic couldn't pull an industrial sized trailor back and forth across the continental US every day?
Everyone with guns does not a police state make. And I must have missed the posts from the pro-gun crew suggesting cameras.

Isn't she right upstairs?

I normally go with the policy of don't write anything that you don't want published, be it online or on hardcopy.

so, you drop the phone handle the situation, pick it up and say "sorry, repeat that, i was almost in an accident"... wheres the problem?

maybe its just that no one cares about a case made of legos... been done before, and no one cared then either. how is this front page material?
Wouldn't the term pirate imply that they sell the product? Thus money being the motive. I think the term pirate is the wrong term for these people.
