In my experience--based solely on the people I know that play Men's league ice hockey--the likelihood of ice hockey at least *interfering* with your social life is pretty high. You might decide not to go out with some friends one night because you're in the playoffs.
In my experience--based solely on the people I know that road race motorcycles--the likelihood of roadracing at least *interfering* with your social life is pretty high. You might decide not to go out with some friends one night because you're out of town at a race weekend.
Every single hobby fits this exact mold so that seems like a pretty weak argument.
You know what else fits this mold? A job.
On the other hand, since I renewed for the expansion I've spent the last few nights playing with out of town friends while talking to them on teamspeak. I'd say it's a social enabler in this case.
2. Adult Porn: If you have received an invitation to an adult porn website visit ObscenityCrimes.org and report the address on their report form. Do not visit the porn web site. You can save the report form as a Favorite site to save time when reporting future invites. It is important to report these websites since they violate federal and state laws. If it is from a foreign country it violates U.S. air waves. Some terrorists utilize porn websites to earn money for Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. Many adult sites also include child porn and underage porn, and all involve unwilling porn subjects. Porn models are forced into this crime either at gunpoint, through drugs, or because of economic necessity. Those who consent to it can't wait until its over, are glad to retire, and regret it for the rest of their lives, and many of them cannot bear a man's touch for the rest of their lives.
That place seems like just one more site using "think of the children" to push their own agenda.
Sure they do. I might even buy some of it one of these days, assuming I can find some that doesn't make me look like a motocross racer, or a crotch-rocket racer.:p
Here you go. I doubt you'll be mistaken for either of those in this or 75% of the jackets made for street riding.
That a computer can play the game better than a human is a good sign of a bad game.
In this case, it can't. What it can do is play when the player can't.
That people actually want a computer to play for them is a sign of a really badly designed game.
I agree. I wholeheartedly believe that leveling in the modern mmo is a ridiculous concept that achieves nothing a short tutorial could not. Blizzard has missed a fair bit of money from me because leveling sucks so bad and you can't play the real game unless you waste two months working through the pregame. It's a game, let me play it. I earned the right to play by plunking down dollars at Best Buy, I don't need to earn it by seeing how good I am at repeating a task thousands of times.
And I don't want to hear that it "teachs you to play your class" either. As the second you get to the level cap the entire gameplay and playstyle changes pretty significantly.
While we are just "most likely"ing, I'd say that most likely this isn't the case given that many times over Blizzard staff has publicly affirmed that one person playing numerous characters simultaneously is acceptable, never claiming that this required ONE computer per ONE copy. I know plenty of people that have played multiple characters on one machine at the same time (me being one of them) and none of us have gotten sued.
Your model of VW is certainly not the only model of vehicle with this type of problem. My 97 Ford Thunderbird has a leak under the dash somewhere that I have been chasing for a while. Only really surfaces in the winter but no matter how much water I pour down the windshield or up the wheel well no water ends up inside... The first time I found it there was also a leak in the floor where a seal had dried out and the entire passenger side of the car was SOAKED. Like you I removed the passenger seat (and pulled up the carpet) for about a week to let it dry. I'm sure this is relatively common, and they should be able to argue it as purely circumstantial.
Did you consider, you know, waiting a while. Every private site I have been a member of has a grace period where if you have downloaded less than a certain amount (say 5gb) you aren't subject to ratio requirements. You can sit there for weeks to build up your ratio. Or you could just download at full speed and wonder why you got banned in a week or so.
If they wanted to, they could always do "Linksys by Cisco" - reaping the benefits of both brand names.
They are already doing this. I have one sitting on the desk next to me. Doesn't say "by Cisco," but it has the Cisco Systems name/logo on it along side the Linksys one. Of course it is no longer functional. Good thing they are stackable so I can build lego like creations with the pile of dead Linksys devices.
If your group or raid or whatever you want to call it is good enough that they can complete the content short one player (the "commander) then they probably don't need one in the first place.
Except that he did subtract (as the formula he gives would have him do) in the other portion of the comparison.
2 + 49 - (49 ÷ 2), or 75.5 In the first one he adds the penalty for wrong answers. 2+49-24.5=26.5
1 + (97 ÷ 2) - ((97 ÷ 2) ÷ 2)), which comes out to be 25.25 In the second he subtracts the penalty. 1+48.5-24.25=25.25
Doesn't seem like a typo to me, or I could be the idiot.
The parent's point is that it doesn't really matter what the car looks like at the end of the crash, it matters what the occupants look like. While the E-class was crumbling it was absorbing energy, while the Smart was staying rock solid, its passengers may or may not be splattering on the intact windshield.
My thoughts exactly. Why would you want to turn the sex offenders into ghosts on the system where you don't know who they are when they were happy to tell you. So you basically trade in whatever portion of them that were being straight with you onto the other side were they are using false identities. Which one of these allows for a higher chance of a repeat incident?
I know some parents like that. Now from what I can tell neither child has any real respect for the parents. One has pulled some real slick moves like stealing the parents car and managing to crash before even be of age to get a learner's permit, drinking at school functions, etc. Its a good thing though that you have a plan for what to do when the kid winds up in jail, as being a jerk to the child its whole life is probably increasing the likelihood that you have to use said plan...
Who that has a pirated copy of Windows doesn't keep the disk around after they have installed? Sounds like it will be nothing more than a big hassle for the average pirate to me. I don't throw my msdnaa provided software disks away after I install, or discs for a game...
Simple fix, probably meant by the poster. Account wide. Done. If you are willing to pay for a ton of accounts to grief people, then damn, I guess you can abuse it, but at $15/month I doubt you will really see that.
This is not really the case though, with MMOs that I have experienced. During my time playing WoW (about 2.5 years I think, close enough anyway) on Destromath there was a Horde Shaman named Daish. This guy was a real idiot. He was the best pvper the game has ever seen (It's true because he said it). In any battlegrounds he would just constantly flame all the "newbies." To the point where it was a serverwide joke to tell someone or some group to "get to the tower newbies" (this was a personal favorite of his).
Due to constant reporting he was eventually warned that another ban would be permanent (which he stupidly bragged about). At this point he couldn't be an asshat any longer. Well around this time everyone on the horde just quit dealing with him, thus his enjoyment was extremely hindered as no one would help him or anything. He quit. Quit the horde anyway, rerolled on alliance on the same server for a while (I think they ended up disowning his ass too, not sure), but he was no longer an issue for the horde. Sure it took a couple months but it basically serves as an example that if everyone just quits dealing in anyway (I mean it, not "well he offered a lot of gold for xyz", just nothing period) with the person they won't be able to effectively continue the game and will move on.
Sure they can come back with another name, but as soon as they start up it's easy to call them on it and it gets them ostracized again. If they come back with a new name and act civil, GOOD, that was the objective right?
I finally got my games verified after many attempts and made my way into a CS:S team deathmatch game. Was pinging about 150-300 according to the netgraph, with anywhere from 7-40tic. All players in the server were complaining about the same issues. With players teleporting and the constant rubber-banding it was really just like gambling. Just spray and pray and hope you get lucky. They aren't going to make a penny unless they HUGELY increase server performance. They are going to need constant 100tic servers for people to throw down the cash every game.
That's interesting considering it requires 9 or 24 other people working in close harmony to complete 90% of the content that matters.
If you play the game as intended it REQUIRES social interaction.
The English Language has no instances of one word having more than one meaning.
In my experience--based solely on the people I know that play Men's league ice hockey--the likelihood of ice hockey at least *interfering* with your social life is pretty high. You might decide not to go out with some friends one night because you're in the playoffs.

Because if you put the book at the back of the shelf no one will ever find it?

Um, have you seen Office Space? There is no pot, cops or horse's in the movie, nor does anyone get imprisoned.
What is the actual legal position on this? If the copyright holder gives you the copyrighted work, then how is it a crime for you to take it?
Half Baked.

Seems like he added rather than subtracted the (49/2). Pretty much ruins the whole argument.

"Capital" city in World of Warcraft, populated primarily by the Tauren race.
