  1. For those of you that don't want to play WW on Review: Prince of Persia - The Two Thrones · · Score: 0

    http://www.stuckgamer.com/gui_pop_ww_01.shtml
If you guys don't feel like beating Warrior Within, you can simply watch someone else beat it at the above link.

Better then doing it yourself and die falling off a rotating trap a few hundred times :P

Or you can be lazy and skip to the ending battle.

  2. Theres only one thing to do... on Intelligent MIDI Sequencing with Hamster Control · · Score: 0

    Its hamtaro time!

Good thing this music isnt published by the RIAA... With the number of downloads that that song has... they could make billions...

  3. Uhhh... Theres not really much difference between on New Virus Attacks Via RAR Files · · Score: 0

In my opinion theres not much difference between zip and rar... Only a different compression algorithm. Other then that, they both serve as containers that attempt to compress the contents.

Im also sure that most anti-virus programs scan RAR files.

In my opinion, this is nothing special, virus writers are just trying to change their delivery method. Just like how a virus was written for .swf files. Its now only the matter of adding the .rar extention to the filter.

  4. Unfortently... on Review: Halo 2 And The MagicBox XFPS · · Score: 0

I believe the reviewer should have seen the teaser e3 gameplay movie or any of the other bungie-released teasers when making the judgement on the game... The released video clips makes me feel that the game in the clips is a completely different game then halo2...

I also believe that the music in Halo2 is alot less fitting as the first Halo...

But hey, the game looks different in everyone's eyes. Interesting to see anothers viewpoint.

  5. Re:It's like the theory of evolution... on Macrovision Releases DVD Copy Protection · · Score: 0

Too bad the "rippers" and pirates usually have people on the inside that gets the content before its encrypted by macrovision.

Producers paying for more copyprotection --> higher costs for consumers

0 effect on the hardcore warez release scene.

Net effect: they drive more consumers away, rippers use the software that works, and hardcore pirates still release x number of copies.

  6. whats next? on Night Vision Scope From Scavenged Parts · · Score: 0

A nuclear bomb made out of a bomb casing and pinball machine parts?

or how about a server that can withstand the slashdot effect using only cup n string modems and various junkyard parts?

I'd bet he'd win the robot wars competition with his level of skill.

  7. Too bad that this idea is kinda already done on Firefox Plugin Annodex For Searching Audio, Video · · Score: 0

What this plugin seems to do is already found in a DVD, except this adds search capabilites.

The search feature is kinda the only thing that is making this stand out, but since it only supports one format, and that the media seems to need to "manually" prepped is a huge drawback.

To sum it up, this plugin is basically: a table of contents, a closed caption text search, and the "scene select" menu in a DVD.

  8. Ah, no CS for you! on Chinese Force Mass Closure Of Net Cafes · · Score: 0

Almost all the netcafes I've visited in China had tons of people playing counterstrike. It could be possible that China wants to nip any school shooting ideas in the bud. OR... they're adding a daily workout to the many kids. Walking 200 meters every day to get that CS fix.

  9. Clicking Yes to continue... on How VeriSign Could Stop Drive-By Downloads · · Score: 4, Funny

From what I have seen, I believe that the employees at Verisign are "Clicking yes to continue" when approving certificate requests. Or someone mistakenly clicked the "Yes to All" button.

  10. nintendo games on Nintendo With Possible Palm OS Capabilities · · Score: 0, Troll

i hope nintendo games on the palm are a hell of alot better then the ones that come with the regular palm...

  11. And in recent news, 2 hours before the article... on Random Number Generator That Sees Into the Future · · Score: 1

And in recent news, 2 hours before the article was posted, the eggs suddenly display huge spikes in the random numbers! Could this be a sudden dirty bomb attack by terrorists? Will the Terror Alert be tied to the Black Box? Oh wait, thats just the thousands of slashdot users spiking the electric grid.
