No they are not. Java is used to serve millions of web pages per second all over the planet. The #1 use of Java is on the server. Applets have been seeing a small comeback, but their use nowhere near dominates the Java market share.
Ha...surely not enough time to get drunk...I was referring to the article which said something like "...the reason you can't get drug tested for Algebra 2, but you can for playing basketball..." The algebras you have mentioned are definitely no cause for drug testing:)
I used Mandrake for years and I can sincerely say, Mandrake blows monkey balls, and I hope it completely falls off the face of the earth. There has never been a distro where you could say "wow, they totally got it right!"...For over two years now, I've been a Gentoo user (and a happy one at that) - but I decided to install Ubuntu on one of my spare workstations at work...and wow! they totally got it right! I NEVER had that experience with Mandrake.
