This ship has sailed, see my post about the DMCA. Or see many court cases where companies are being fined for bribery in foreign nations. The US in particular thinks it has global jurisdiction, no reason why it can't go both ways.
Slightly different in that case though - the DVD producer is putting them their out of their own self-interest vs the legal system of another jurisdiction.
The easiest way to do it is to Google any name of any movie followed by the word download, not something I do but I do run into the message on occasion on overloaded terms. It was unlikely to be original intent of the DMCA but rights holders have been doing it for years and Google has been acquiescing, not sure if courts were involved.
Then you could make the same argument for any illegal activity, e.g. drugs, robbery, pickpocketing, etc. At 25 he was more than old enough to understand what was done was both illegal and understand that the spam was almost certainly sent to perpetuate scams (e.g. online pharmacies).
Put him on a pedestal? I merely pointed out that claiming he was the same as Marcus Hutchins is incorrect as he has not admitted it nor has the FBI shown evidence to prove it (since the trial hasn't started).
Should be good for the gander. When I browse google.ca I see references that entries have been removed due to the US DMCA, so why should other countries in which Google operates be able to do the same.
Not sure why you'd expect past games to get upgrades that weren't shipped with them... In the future though publishers are already working on higher res versions because of PCs so its mostly a matter of optimization.
3/4 of the population has better than 20/20 with a mix of normal eyesight and standard glasses. Recall that the purpose isn't to see individual pixels, can you see imperfections, screendoor etc at 1080p then you benefit from 4k.
Isn't it still entirely unproven that Hutchins had anything to do with writing kronos? Last I heard the FBI has accused him of it, but he hadn't admitted guilt or lost a trial.
Isn't it ultimately up to Qualcomm how they license their patent - if the supplier didn't tell Apple they needed to license then thats on the supplier, if Apple knew and didn't bother thats on Apple. If Qualcomm charges a hypothetical $1 to the manufacturer and $1 to the product that isn't different than charging the supplier $2.
I mean, if you look at their history they've made on notable game - Eve Online.... in 2003. Them stopping working on VR is the equivalent of your local high school cancelling its [insert sport] program being a major blow to [insert sport].
There is a reason Qualcomm is in the position they are - they did a lot of R&D and pushed cellular forward. On the other hand Apple has done what, "invent" round corners?
Unfortunately science much like technology, the average view or writer doesn't really understand it so they can just use it as a convenient plot device to justify whatever they want like magic. Probably can only be solved by improving the knowledge of the general populace.
One has to question your ability to talk on development practices when you claim Guava depends on "javax" which doesn't exist (its the root package of all java extensions) which you then claim depends on Spring.
There is an important distinction between libraries and frameworks which you seem to not understand. Further, you display a complete lack of understanding about how the classpath works and what leads to vulnerabilities.
CompSci isn't for training developers, its for training computer scientists. Theory is taught with the understanding that this forms the basis for development with mentoring and job experience. It sounds like you were meant to help provide the mentoring and experience, so you failed?

How tall are you?

Now fuck off with your idiotic existential crisis.

Not actually the case.
Surface devices have had a lot of widespread reported problems like hot bag, wifi, etc.
Oreo isn't beta, its on devices.
Google will start preventing APKs from being added to their store with this problem. Seems like a relatively easy thing to scan for.

Eve's subscriber count was always tiny back when MMOs were still relevant.

Qualcomm is so far in the wrong here it isn't even funny
Why is that exactly?
There is a reason Qualcomm is in the position they are - they did a lot of R&D and pushed cellular forward. On the other hand Apple has done what, "invent" round corners?
Which is ironic, because the series has always had a very large social justice & equality component.

Unused code in dependencies is just that - unused code.
