There are all sorts of devices for the disabled that hang off your serial port and use SerialKeys built into Windows. No need for developers to really do anything extra.

Why in the world are so many claimed tech-heads fighting against HD? I've had my set for a couple years and that was years after sets had already been available. People will buy $500 video cards or better yet 2 of them for SLI or they'll buy whatever handheld gadget is on the market, but balk at the thing they probably spend most of their time watching. You can't play most new PC games on a 10 year old PC and you can't play Xbox 360 games on a Colecovision. You paid $400 for a game console, buy a halfway decent TV to play it on.
The article doesn't say anything about bad movies are better investments, just that big ones are. Basically if you have 100m euros, you'd normally pay 55m euros come tax time. Instead, you invest 90m of that so you're only paying 4.5m in taxes. Then you let the studio buy the film back for 80m euros. Well you just took a loss on your movie investment so you don't have to pay any taxes on the 80m.
Final income from your 100m euros = 85.5m euros
In fact if you're not reading the press release via your wireless gadget of choice while your new wife is sobbing in the corner during your honeymoon you'd better turn in your geek card now. Bonus points if said wireless device does not natively support wireless and isn't running its original OS.
I'm not sure who all required this, but I installed one of these for a client on the academy committee back in January for the last Academy awards. Basically it was like a DSS where you had to register it with the company once you got it put in. Each unit had a serial ID that was then tied to a user. I didn't try any of the screeners to see if there was a watermark or anything. The unit I saw back at the beginning of the year was pretty crappy looking, I'd rank it with an Apex or Oritron, for build quality and video output.
Actually PS2 is the only one that doesn't have progressive scan games. Gamecube does 480P on most games and of course XBOX will do that and higher scanrates.
Since day one I've only been in one queue and it was something like 6 people. If you're spending hours in queues you could have had another character on a lower population server at a decent level by now.
He could get a job at the theater for the next 139 days or whatever and then get to see the movie a couple days in advance like I did when I worked at a Regal Cinema.
Our local affiliate has added the following tagline to every story: Concerned? You should be!
Pick 1280x768. That should look pretty good.
Would you rather have 1 of these or 20+ individual boardgames in your closet?

Even worse the guy on the front was one of the programmers. And yeah, I could see not buying it for that awful cover.
Yeah...that's not really a deterrent.

You don't really *need* a motor home, that's probably why they're in a bad financial situation.
and don't forget Meantime, it's got to be 75-85% done by now.

We don't know about the Steam numbers, but if these are only retail sales then figure closer to $25 a pop or even less. Most media is 50 points.
