    Somebody sent me several postcards saying that I had voted in the state of Washington. That means all the information in my voter registration, as well as my voting history, is ALREADY a matter of public record, available to anyone!

  8. Technology doesn't guarantee a solution, and it does solve all problems, but I'm pretty sure it has solved some problems, i.e. we're not all starving due to advances in agricultural productivity made possible by... technology.

    Depends on the media company, i.e. Fox has an obvious Republican bias.But yes, most media outlets have a liberal bias. I just try to be aware of the bias of the messenger and adjust their message for their known biases. Other than going back to the "equal time" doctrine, I'm not sure what can be done about it.

    The Democrats are still ashamed when they are caught lying, but many Republicans no long even bother to try to hide the fact that they are lying. In other words, they are emulating Trump.

    Voting for Trump doesn't make you a bad person. Not admitting by now that voting for Trump was a mistake -- THAT makes you a bad person! Obama didn't meet our (unrealistic) expectations either. I'm a liberal, but I believe fiscal conservatives still have some good ideas that we should listen to. The fear and hate mongers? Not so much.

    The sent me a card telling whether or not I voted for the past years, along with the voting record of other people on my street with their names and addresses redacted for privacy. There are only TWO houses on my street!

    As human beings, we like to _pretend_ are decisions are guided by pure reason, but in actual practice we are driven more by tribal instinct, in exactly the same way that our dogs are still driven by pack instinct. Man as a completely rational being is a myth. Perhaps not being able to relate to irrational instinctual thought is the real barrier between men and machines understanding each other, rather than the machines lack of a physical body. Machines can now emulate all human sensory input, given enough time they should be able to develop a similar model to humans of what operating in the physical world "feels" like.

Too be fair, there is an African Jewish tribe that traces their lineage back to one of the lost tribes of Israel... and DNA test indicate that might be correct, even though their external features now appear very African due to with Africans. Apparently African external features are dominant genes.

    The _biggest_ problem they are face is that chicks just aren't that attracted to guys whose only redeeming quality is that they are white! Apparently they are still upset that the rumor leaked out that black guys have bigger peens! (why do you think Trump is so jealous of Obama?) You'd think pale skin would be a much bigger draw in the dating market, wouldn't you? (Full disclaimer: I'm a Mike Pence level white guy myself.)
