So, Rick James was actually a biologically engineered pesticide?

Why didn't I think of that? That's guaranteed way to have some real leverage over your child's behavior when they get to be a teenager! "Be home be 10:00, or I start posting the Hitler pictures on your Facebook page!"
Why so sad? This only proves that you can't kill an open source project; any worthwhile project will have someone else pick up the development, with or without forking it. If Sun attempts to "kill" MySQL, somebody else will pick that up too. Sure, repurposing the paid developers formerly working on the project is a real loss to the project, but not a fatal one.
If minors can be charged with child pornography for taking pictures of themselves, can they also be charged with rape for masturbating? After all, having sex with someone under the age of consent is statutory rape, isn't it?
How does this compare to the problems experienced by people migrating 15,000 clients running various Windows releases to Windows 7? Is migrating to Linux more or less costly than migrating to the latest release out of Redmond?
I'd like to participate in the celebration, but in order to do so, I'd have to take a jet plane over the pond. Unfortunately, I'm against using those new-fangled contraptions! In fact, anybody attending this that doesn't live within horse-and-buggy commuting distance is obviously a hypocrite!
I did RTFA. Viacom retracting a takedown request doesn't prove they put up the clip in the first place. It may also indicate that they were mistaken about the contents of the clip, or simply didn't know that the clip was actually authorized. The question of whether or not these clips damaged Viacom's business model is an open issue. On the one hand, it's free advertising for Viacom; on the other hand, it may be displacing some ad revenue. I don't think any sane person believes damages to Viacom are anywhere close to the $1 billion they are asking for.
So it's perfectly legal to write out a check on an underage girl's chest, then take a photo of it and submit it? I need to know, 'cause I've got plenty of underage girls handy, but I'm running out of checks...
When I see a dog objecting to the invasion of his privacy, either in writing or verbally, then they should expunge that dog's DNA records. Until that time, it's fair game. As a side note, how do I go about training my dog to hold people while I stab them to death?
By the same argument that insists 3-D CGI of underage sex is unlawful, and even depictions of cartoon characters (e.g. Lisa and Bart Simpson) having sex is child port, that picture of a naked 10-year old is unlawful, even if the photographer/model consents to it's release upon reaching legal age.
Needless to say, I disagree with these legal principles. People that exploit children should be put in jail. People that paint nude cherubs in the Sistine Chapel should not. People that photograph their newborn naked on a bear-skin rug should not. (Almost every family has photographs or videos of "baby's first bath". It ain't porn.)
That doesn't change the fact that sending ANYBODY nude pictures of yourself is a very, very stupid thing to do, regardless of your age. On the internet, once it's out there, it's out there forever, and likely to come back to haunt you 40 years later when you're running for public office!
Anybody that goes through the picture gallery on a confiscated cell phone is OBVIOUSLY looking for something... in this case, it is pretty clear that the DID intend to see nude pictures, otherwise they wouldn't have been looking in the first place! School officials not being trained law enforcement personnel, I'm pretty sure you could get the evidence thrown out of court on evidence "chain of custody" rules anyway.
The HOA does 2 things 1) Maintain any "common areas", and 2) Enforce the CC&Rs you agreed to when you bought into that neighborhood. My HOA has a rule against external television antennnas; every house in the neighborhood (except mine) has a satellite dish. However, the HOA doesn't consider it worth paying a lawyer to enforce this (stupid) rule. They are there to discourage egregious violations which actually do lower everyone else's property values, not to nitpick about you parking your boat in your driveway for a few days.
I use it at home because it's free, and probably doesn't contain malware itself. Can't really say how effective it is because it has never found any malware on my machines.
If I was a parent I wouldn't want to interfere with my 6 year old playing in the street, and I sure as hell didn't want my parents to interfere with my playing in the street when I was that age. But they did, and somehow I survived to have children of my own. STDs and pregnancy are rampant in teenage girls, precisely because as a group they are known for making bad decisions! Yes, they learn by making their own decisions and facing the consequences, but there are some choices with potentially permanent consequences that I'd rather they not have the option of making on their own.
Especially if you are on a motorcycle. I've had the experience of driving the 405 freeway in LA at night in heavy fog on a motorcycle. It is not very comforting knowing the cars behind you definitely cannot see you!
Wouldn't this work a lot like the canine speech synthesizers in "Up", except instead of suddenly going "Squirrel!", it goes "Tits!" all the time?
Bad analogy. Tiger Woods isn't sterile, and didn't use condoms.

What proof does YouTube have that any videos were actually uploaded by Viacom?
Hey, just because MY DOG was there, doesn't mean I was there! The dog... he's still mad about getting his 'nads removed, and he's trying to frame me!

...good trusted people and pillars of the community would certainly never consciously entertain inappropriate sexual thoughts.
Riiiight.... it never happens

Why isn't it illegal for the school officials to be in possession of nude pictures of underage children?
That's reserved for LOTR 2: Hobbits vs. Zombies. (Eventually the zombies give up, as Hobbit brains are tiny and have very little nutritional value.)
Doesn't it also include a half-hour scene of Bilbo sitting around smoking a pipe as he ages 60 years?
If it ain't got Ewoks, it ain't shit!
Look at the bright side... when it finally does come out, you'll probably be able to play Duke Nukem Forever on it!
