Comcast does very heavy packet shaping, so things like speedtest.net look great but everything else is "shaped" so you don't actually get what you expect or pay for.
We use Box for 300 people in 8 countries and I use Dropbox and Skyfile for personal file storage and sharing. There is a place for Cloud storage in corporate IT since the end users are using these services on mobile devices already. The author is obviously out of touch with current CIO initiatives, I talk to these guys everyday and most are looking to use cloud services for file storage and sharing.

indicator of a legitimate business site or a pirate haven.
All these legitimate file sharing sites have a good system for dealing with copyright content that ends up on their sites, the pirate sites do not take it down because they are making money off it. So we don't need SOPA or PIPA they system works today, pirating sites are taken down seems like every week.
So at Skyfile we have seen a huge amount of US users since January 19th, not sure that many users that use File sharing sites like ours for legal sharing needed to go outside of the US to do this.
so what is the difference between "legitimate" sites like Dropbox, Skyfile, Box and sites like Megaupload and Filesonic; they all work the same way upload a file and share it with people. Mediafire is no different than Filesonic really is it?
If you a looking for software to purchase check out www.matrix42.com they have low bandwidth Remote control as well as bandwidth aware agents for software push and patch management.
If not stick to CLI and the free stuff like VNC.
I don't get why anyone is buy these things the Galaxy IPTV looks about the same, is the same size, but has support for XVID and DIVX. They cost about half as much as the AppleTV does on ebay.
I'm actually surprised at the apathy shown towards the Bank of America fiasco of exploiting loopholes in the law to allow them to open accounts and credit cards for illegal aliens!!
I figured there would have been a much larger rush of people to move their accounts away from them.
I guess aiding and abetting law breakers just isn't enough to get the typical US citizen's fired up....
