I have to second several mentions here. Giving your kids an opportunity for a good grounding in classic sci-fi/fantasy literature will pay back in spades. I've also added in some more recent enjoyments.
* A.E. van Vogt - just about anything will do * Andre Norton - again, just about anything * Edmond Hamilton - _The Best of Edmond Hamilton_ collection * Leigh Brackett - _The Best of Leigh Brackett_ collection * Heinlein juveniles - _Time for the Stars_, _The Starbeast_, etc. * E.E. "Doc" Smith - Lensman hexology * Asimov - Robots series * Bester - _Stars my Destination_ is a little mean, but workable * Clifford Simak - _Time and Again_ * Weis and Hickman - DragonLance Chronicles and Legends trilogies * Robert Jordan - Wheel of Time series, long and a bit more grown up, but your kids will handle them * L'Engle - Time Quartet * Patricia McKillip - Riddle-Master trilogy * Tolkien - they'll handle the classic four * Robin McKinley - _The Blue Sword_, _The Hero and the Crown_ * Anne McCaffrey (and others) - Dinosaur Planet series, especially the latter three: _Sassinak_, _The Death of Sleep_, _Generation Warriors_ * C.J. Cherryh - _Downbelow Station_, _Rimrunners_ * Arthur H. Landis - _A World Called Camelot_ * Neal Stephenson - if they like history, _Cryptonomicon_
That's about all my poor brain can dump at this time.
Predrill the holes and put soap on the threads so you don't break screws as you install it.
Replace soap with beeswax in this case. The moisture in soap will affect the wood surrounding the screws and weaken it. Beeswax leaves the wood in good shape as well as helping you to drive 3" screws without shearing the heads off when you're almost finished.
I'm sure owners of the Apollo 13 movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112384/ will have to surrender their copies as well. Can't have footage of people using the machine, even if they are actors in a replica.
I built my screen, and in researching how to do it I looked at Screen Goo. Nice product, however you'll have a hell of a time getting a nice even and run-free coating on your substrate. If you thin it and use a nice sprayer you should be ok.
I however, opted for the even cheaper method of Plas-Tex. I believe it is made by Parkland and is initially indended as wall covering in wet areas; public restrooms and such. The nice thing is that it has a gain of almost 1.0 and doesn't hotspot at all. I picked up a 4'x8' sheet at the local hardware store for $13. I built a wood frame and secured the plas-tex to it like a painting canvas. Some black material for masking and I have a great screen that is rigid and flat.
The Space Camp movie was working from facts. The runway at White Sands missile range was used to land the Columbia at the conclusion of STS-3. Later on White Sands was named the White Sands Space Harbor. This is also a location for shuttle return training in the modified Gulfstream.
I'm new to NwN and I'm enjoying the single player quite a bit. So far my sojourn into multiplayer has pretty much sucked rocks. Too many 12 year old idiots running around ruining the gameplay. Is this any different on a DM'd server?
You didn't address this in your post, but does your experience lead you to think that a multiplayer expansion like "Pirates" here will go over well?
I hope it does. MMORPG needs more pirates, double cool it they're undead pirates; yarr!
Here we get to see some of the silliness of hte English language. Inflammable and flammable both mean that it can be ignited. I think you're looking for the word "non-flammable". Definitions from dictionary.com follow:
inflammable - Easily ignited and capable of burning rapidly; flammable. Middle English, liable to inflammation, from Medieval Latin nflammbilis, from Latin nflammre, to inflame. See inflame.
flammable - Easily ignited and capable of burning rapidly; inflammable. From Latin flammre, to set fire to, from flamma, flame.

Thank you! Most go clean keyboard now.
Cannot resist.... I believe V'ger was depicted in the movie as Voyager 6. I'll crawl back under my rock now.
