Yes but the point is with propretary software someone will sue and put money behind it.

It's like in the 'real world' - if there are laws that no-one enforces, people just ignore them.

I think this gives an effective proof of just *how* boring history class is ;).

Anyway, he also proposed a print ad, where you see a buck naked chick sitting down, breasts nicely in view, probing her crotch with her fingers, and below her a sign that just says "Coke". Damned if he cares what the product is, he's buying some of that shit!

A girl crouching down over the word 'Coke'. Hmm, are *you* thinking what *I'm* thinking?

Yeah, the thieves always win! Yay for criminals!

The growth of file 'sharing' just shows that humans are by nature cowardly thieving scum who will get away with only what they are allowed to. Many file 'sharers' would sneer at muggers or drug dealers but are quite happy to commit criminal acts online, because of the perceived safety.

And then they whine when they get caught.

Please note I will not reply to any 'ITS NOT STEALING!!!111ELEVEN!!' replies.

Oh really. Please find examples on the web of these vast amounts of 'my dad raped me' weblogs.

Only a slashdot reader would think that the first thing a raped woman would to is post to the web about it.

It wasn't baseless, it was based on his post, you fool. Go and learn what 'baseless' means.

I'm willing to personally guarantee if the parent poster hadn't used her name (or, at least, a female name) as their user ID, then the idea of rape would not have entered our perverted friend's mind.
