  1. Actually comparable? on Sony takes on iPod Shuffle · · Score: 2, Insightful

"None of these'll be out for a couple more months, but the NW-E405 will sell for $130, the NW-407 for $180, the NW-E505 for $150, while the NW-E507 rounds things out at $200." Seeing how they wont be released for a few more months, and are (at the higher ends) closer in price to an iPod mini (with 4x the capacity) than to a Shuffle, I don't really see these as all that comprable in any other form that size.

I don't see how this is really any differant then my current school (Iowa State University) which offers classes such as 'Information Warfare' which is pretty much hacking as a weapon against others. A standing assignment for the entire class is to crack into the Profs. computer, the class has been offered to 4th year students and grad students and its yet to be broken into. Automatic A to anyone who gets in though.

This artical is reviewing if Linux is ready for 'Moms and Dads' can you honestly expect John D. Computeruser to know that when he wants to install his new tax software he needs to sure ./configure? or even that man exists? NO. Frankly this is knowledge that is gained through use of Linux, and anyone first trying to get started withit would not have the first clue where to look. This is verymuch like OS X or WinXP where its the simple doubleclick the install file or even autorun from cd.

I got didgital cable and a cable modem at home, it runs up about $100, the video on demand is kinda cool, but you frequently can't view what you want to see. The VOD might not have the episode that was on that night, or it might, no real way to tell in advance.
