Without those sets you wouldn't know if gas or chemical X was explosive, the goverment is trying to take away the source of knowledge, not the actual materials. It's exactly like the nazis burning the books, no difference.

Strange, electrical appliances are also region locked (110/220V), but people just buy a special "hacking device" to convert the voltage. I'm surprised no authories have gone after them yet.

That's a very good point! Although, I'm already registered on more than one social networking site, had fun with discovering old friends, but it's over now, getting very boring.

I would think (living on the other side of the globe) that online music sales, as every other kind of sale, included the tax in the price. So basically, this just means a little raise, today 4% tomorrow 5%. Is this the first time something gets more expensive like this in Canada?

  19. Re:LMAO on ICANN Mulling Multilingual URLs · · Score: 1

Well, as I noticed, everybody does rush to learn english nowdays. It will probably peek once asian content becomes more significant than western (if ever) and people will start learning those languages too. For example japanese media products are already getting popular in the world, it's probably only the matter of time before korea and china (or bollywood) takes over them simply by quantity (as in electronics). I think the 21th century is going to be tough for the US and the english language itself.
