Don't be mean. If they can pull that off it would be a huge step forward for them in terms of security. This is exactly the same issue with Windows that most people here continually complain about.
I do this when I notice my system getting clunky and always when I do a windows update (as there is always spyware added to any MS update, especially security updates)
Uhhh.. Do you have any evidence of this? My computer doesn't become "clunky" when I download updates for Windows. If MS was implanting supposed spyware with its updates I'm sure everyone would have been discussing it on Slashdot by now.
"People in the ID community have said that we don't even know how bees fly," Altshuler said. "We were finally able to put this one to rest. We do have the tools to understand bee flight and we can use science to understand the world around us."
And I'm not surprised to see real scientists getting ticked off about this particular group of people whose ideas and actions can often be characterized as ridiculous or at least irrational.
I haven't seen any new "gaming mice" that have any sort of vibration. I'm not giving up my Logitech iFeel mouse until it either breaks or someone puts force feedback into a new mouse. I think it's a good idea anyway.
I've played FFXI on the computer for a bit now and let me tell you.. It's like someone is making a ton of money off a commercial version of "the waiting game." Seriously. If you like sitting while listening to music, then that game is perfect.
All my computers still have floppy drives. And they get used! Nice when you want to transfer data to a system like windows 98 and don't want to mess around with the USB storage drivers.
You might want to be careful with them. Every Maxtor hard drive that has been bought in my family has died. I used to have Maxtor drives in my computer too, but the one that kept my important data and operating system on kept freaking out sometimes after being powered on "too early" after it was chilled. Others have just died on power up for no apparent reason. I'm using all Segates now, and I have to say they are noticably better. They also seem to have much larger caches than most Maxtors.
But to be fair, the underperforming Maxtor drive that broke when it tried to read itself still works. Sort of. Just large sections are damaged.
You know, I've been doing this for a while, and I'm sorry to say, the PlayStation 2 still happened and Sony is still alive. Although I still refuse to buy anything from them.
Garrett called and he said he can help you with this, including a bionic eye. All he wants is for you to stop calling him taffer and chasing him all the time. Even a thief needs to make a living you know.
Police are hesitant because he keeps asking to meet them in dark alleyways.
I have many passwords that are all longer than 12 characters, use upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and do not resemble common words. Such passwords are required in a few of the systems that I use. What makes it worse is when you're expected to change it. As if anyone was going to be able to guess it in the first place. I usually just change one character in the password when it asks me to change it and then change it back to its original value. That'll teach them.
It's just a fad word for downloading audio from the Internet. This pretty much summarizes it. How did it get added to the dictionary so fast? It's not even generic - it was created in part based on a modern day product. If anything, it should be going into a slang reference guide not a dictionary.
Everytime I go to a meeting I get paid to procrastinate. It's very relaxing.
Not sure why you felt compelled to install Windows on your eyes but there's always Linux in case they happen to spontaneously combust
That thing must be a total pain in the ass to replace..
Yes, it's the Intel IV: "Your life depends on us!"

The funny thing is that the whole scheme could be figured out just by reading the summary
Usually when presented with an neutral report, it is best to form your own opinion.
This is probably like the second time I've mentioned this specific device here, but -- apparently you haven't seen something like this USB drive

Maybe other people will be screwed, but guess who is going to continue to NOT buy this type of media (movies, music, etc)?

Because it saves Maxtor money and it forces you to buy another (cheap) hard drive from them after the one you own fails?

Sounds like the security fix I've been hoping for a while

BitComet was also found to ignore the "evil bit."

It's ATI's evil twin!
